About Alicia

I'm not sure if there's anything I love more than dogs!! I grew up with shelties in the family- there were a total of five at one point!

I currently do not live with one, so your pups will get my full love and attention! My base overnight rate is for 24 hours and has me watching up to 2 at a time, so be sure to let me know if your dog can't be around other animals.

*Please note that I won't be able to provide 24/7 care at this time as I do need to leave the house at times.*

Right now I am working from home, so I have plenty of time to take care of doggie visitors, and my spacious home is just 5 minutes from daily walks in Central Park! My building has an elevator and is very pet friendly, and your dogs will have free reign of my apartment (or if you prefer, I have a small room off of the living room where we can set up their bed) There is also a pet supply store in my building, and two vets just a few blocks away. The building is surrounded by two dog friendly public sitting areas where pups and their people often chill out.

House trained dogs only (please, no inside markers!), and please have their flea treatments and shots up to date. All size dogs welcome but preference for medium sized dogs and up!

Your pup will love Alicia's beautiful and spacious home. They can watch the hustle and bustle of the city from the many windows. Being steps away from Central Park, they can even join her on a run.

Not only does she have extensive experience with dogs, she's able to provide 24/7 supervision. She also lives in a very dog-friendly building without breed-specific requirements.

Alicia is perfect for those bigger pups who typically have a hard time finding a host.

Alicia was great! My dog loved her stay and had a lot of fun. Alicia seems really responsible and attentive - my dog is high strung and does have some quirks, but none of them fazed Alicia. I definitely plan on using her again next time I go out of town.

Alicia was dependable and nice. This was the first time that my 60 lbs. Siberian Husky Belvedere stayed with her. Her home is very spacious with great natural light. Alicia text me photos of their activities every day while I was traveling for work. I didn't have to worry and Belvedere was a relaxed and tired pup when I picked him up. I recommend Alicia highly!

My pup really enjoyed his day o' daycare with Alicia. As always, she was amazing: always accessible, flexible, and responsible. I'm always able to relax when my dog is in Alicia's capable hands.
Awesome Stay!!! Alicia is so sweet. My dog, Chewie is not an easy going dog, he takes time to adjust and get to know new human. But every picture Alicia sent me during the stay, Chewie looks like himself and is happy. We love Alicia!! Thank you for hosting Chewie!!!

We will see you again soon for both daycare and overnight!

Cheers!

Alicia was a great host! She sent daily picture updates and my dog seemed to really enjoy the stay. Will definitely reach out to Alicia next time I need a dog sitter!
Awesome drop off. On time and happy
Our daycare with Alicia was awesome! Chewie came home all tired and happy. When we arrive there was also another dog there for daycare. Alicia made sure that introduction of both dogs are gentle and slow. She is very responsible and easy to get in touch with. This was our first time and we will be back for more! Thank you!!! Alicia took great care of our 5 month Westie puppy. She was always on time, flexible with our schedules, and keep our baby happy and entertained while we were away. Will definitely be using her again!
Kodi loved his stay with Alicia! I would highly recommend her for anyone looking for a host!

I recently moved to the city and was nervous about finding a new boarding situation for Kodi. He was a rescue dog, so he has some anxiety issues and is sensitive about certain things, and generally hates to be "abandoned." Often in boarding situations he won't eat, howls when I leave him, etc.

With Alicia, we didn't have any of these problems. In fact, even after the half hour meet and greet, he kept trying to drag me back to see her again as we walked away. When I dropped him off, there was no pitiful crying. Most amazingly, when I walked in the door to pick him up after I'd been gone for 3 days, he didn't knock me down with unbridled joy because he was so delighted to see me! He stared at me from his position atop Alicia's couch for a full 10 seconds before he deigned to jump down, run over, and say hello. He was still happy to see me, but nowhere near his usual level of elation! To me, this was a true testament to what a great job she had done taking care of him. He had clearly enjoyed his stay with her so much that he had barely noticed he had been left behind!

Alicia also took Kodi on new and interesting adventures every day he stayed with her. He got to explore different areas of the park and the city. Alicia was also great about sending updates - texts, pictures, and even a video, to keep me posted on how Kodi was doing.

All in all, Alicia is an amazing host!

Alicia was fantastic and by far one of the best hosts we've had. She made sure Leigha was super comfortable in a strange environment (midtown-west). I cannot recommend her highly enough..
We were very pleased with Alicia. She sent daily pictures and updates of Adelaide while we were away, and from the looks of it, Adelaide truly enjoyed herself! We will gladly use her again to take care of our pup when we are out of town. Thanks, Alicia!
