About Peg

20 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
I have been a pet lover and owner for many years. I understand the love and bond between you and your pet. I will be able to provide a safe and caring environment for your family member while you are away. My home is located in a safe residential neighborhood with a large fenced in yard. I am a mother to two children and two four legged ones. While your dog is here I will be happy to take your dog for a walk through the neighborhood and back to play in my fenced in back yard.

PLEASE NOTE: Overnight boarding is based on a 24-hour time period and in order to not incur an additional daycare charge all pickups must happen by 10 a.m. unless other arrangements have been previously discussed. Holiday rates increased to $10.00 a day.

We couldn't have been happier with our experience! Callie came home (I think reluctantly) and had been a happy camper at Peg's. We rec'd texts and photos of her and that was fun. We would definitely use her again Janet and Chuck
Peg has been wonderful getting our dog acclimated to her house and family. She has two wonderful sweet dogs. I look forward to the relationship will have with our new dog-sitter!
We did a meet and greet for about an hour with my dog and Peg's dogs, and they got along well. After a discussion about my 7 month pup (how she would not go into heat while there, so not being fixed should be ok) and an agreement that not being fixed was acceptable, I went home and made the booking.

When I then dropped the puppy off for the booking, I stayed to help acclimate her to the environment and the dogs again, because she is only 7 month old. After about an hour and a half, she had calmed down and I departed to finish preparing for my trip the next morning.

I received a text 45 minutes later indicating my pup had calmed down further. 45 minutes after that, an hour and a half after departing, I received a call indicating that my dog would not calm down-- she was barking in her crate while they ate dinner, and I would need to come get her.

I noted that I had to leave to travel in less than 8 hours. She stated she knew, and that this was probably for the best. I retrieved my dog and her things.

My primary issue was the short notice of the cancellation. If the age and energy of the dog was too much, then the booking should have never been accepted. Being forced to acquire boarding with hours left prior to my vacation was an unacceptable way to begin what was supposed to be a relaxing time.

It's clear Peg loves dogs. It's clear Peg takes good care of dogs. But both of Peg's dogs are older and calmer. If you have a high energy, young dog, like a labrador, move on.

Peg is so great! As new puppy parents that work long hours, Peg is a life saver! Peg visits our home during the day to play and walk with our English bulldog at least a few times a week. Caesar loves her and his eyes light up when we say her name in our house even after she's gone. Peg makes the experience so easy and will create custom quotes to meet your needs. Not only does Peg send us photos of how everything is going, but she responds so fast to our requests - which is great for the demands of our quickly changing work schedules. Peg is kind and loves our dog like her own, and she even buys him presents. Her service is exemplar, but the peace of mind that she provides our house that our four-legged family member is well-taken care of in our absence, is what makes her priceless. We highly recommend Peg and will continue to ask her to return to visit Caesar.

Peg and her family were great with our very energetic Halie! Perfect communication throughout our vacation. Thank you again!
Peg welcomed Brodie into her home and he had a wonderful time by all accounts. It's obvious she loves dogs and that's the most important thing for me. We had a medical emergency while away and had to spend more time than planned out of town. Peg had no problem with Brodie staying an extra night. We greatly appreciated it.

My dog Bruce probably loves Peg and her family more than us!

Details:

* Peg took my dog in as part of her family, literally.

*Very conscientious - asked details about the dog, vet, etc. so she was full prepared.

* Large fenced yard

* Limited number of dogs to ensure good care and dog personality balance and accommodate crating and individual food bowls.

* Very reassuring, sent daily texts with pictures.

Highly recommend and hope to user her again if everything works out.

My puppy had an amazing time with Peg! We look forward to using her again!
Peg was great about keeping me updated on how Sophie was doing and sending pictures. Sophie looked quite content in the pictures and came home a very happy dog. Thank you Peg for taking great care of my fur baby while I was out of town!
Peg is great! She clearly loves all dogs. Her manner is calm and loving. We have had both our "high energy" dogs board with Peg - they come home happy pups! Peg's yard is huge and well fenced so the dogs and run and play. And now we are using Peg for dog day care as well because we know our dogs will be well taken care of and paid attention to. I highly recommend this family oriented home for a place for your dogs to board and/or day care - you will not be disappointed . Your babies will be loved and played with and have a chance to romp with other doggies! Make a reservation with Peg today - don't hesitate!

Thanks for taking good care of Jake for us!
Peg and her husband were awesome with Luna! She had a great time with them. She was exhausted the next day when we picked her up. Peg had a few other dogs there too so she is more than capable to look after multiple dogs at a time. Thanks again!
Peg and her own pups could not have been more warm and welcoming! Her home is totally "dog friendly" and she immediately set me at ease. I was leaving my small dog with her for the day while I attended a conference for work and was nervous about leaving him with someone I had never met. I would highly recommend her for daycare as well as overnights.

Peg did a great job., Our dog was happy and healthy when we came to pick him up. Peg also sent us pics almost every day to show how well he was enjoying his vacation. So glad we did not chose a kennel.
This was our first experience with dog vacay and it was great. Peg offered a meet and greet which was very helpful and confirmed that our dog got along with her two dogs which by the way were very sweet dogs. She has a nice fenced in yard where the dogs can run around and play. When I dropped my dog off he was so excited to run around and play with all of the toys. Peg gave us daily updates with pictures which I really appreciated. When our dog came home he was exhausted and slept for 2 days! That must mean he had a blast. We will definitely use Peg again in the future.

Peg has opened up her family to our dog Cooper. When I drive up to her home and attach his leach to his collar he begins to pull me up her driveway wagging his tail with happiness to see her and her family. We couldn't ask for a more loving family. ThanksPeg and family.

We did a day care session as a trial run for our little dog Lola. Everything went well and we have booked a sleep over for her with Peg next week. Peg, and family, were very responsive and communicated extremely well before, during, and after our visit.

Peg was very kind, had a clean house and a large yard. Her own dogs were playful and patient. Peg took the time to make sure that we and our dog were all comfortable with the accommodations and her other dogs before we went on our way. We got nice photos of our dog during his stay, and Peg even bought an extra toy for him in order to keep him running (and to tire him out) in the back yard. Our dog seemed so happy with his stay there that I think he would have enjoyed a longer stay! Highly recommend.

Peg and her family both human and canine welcomed Penny into their home. Penny came home relaxed and happy.
Peg made us feel very comfortable. We left our Airedale and my son's French bull. She was kind and went Out of her way to help us. Needless to say we would recommend Dog ax. To our friends.
We were very happy with our experience and so were our two pups! Peg and her family are committed to making the dogs comfortable while in their care. Our dogs enjoyed playing with Peg's dogs and had fun exploring the large back yard. They played hard and ate and slept well. Both were quite relaxed when we brought them home and they slipped right back into their own routines without any sign of anxiety or neediness. We recommend Peg as a host you can depend on to keep your pet happy while you're away.

Peg and her family took care of my dog when I went away to Europe and I cannot say enough about how thrilled I was with the care she received. Peg has a beautiful, pet friendly home with a large, shady fenced in yard and two sweet pooches of her own who were great playmates for my dog. Peg sent me pictures and updates daily and it was so obvious that my dog was being well- cared for, loved, and treated as one of the family. Peg and family's Stay and Play was an absolutely fantastic experience and my dog and I! It's a doggie paradise!!!

This was our families first boarding experience for our dog. Communicating with Peg through the DogVacay site was easy, efficient and comforting! We had a wonderful meet and greet experience, so pleased with her entire families' love for dogs in general. Peg is very caring, passionate and detailed with caring for Azzurro. Her home is wonderfully pet friendly, especially for our dog, as he was not used to being at another person's home. I much prefer this over other local boarding options, and am completely confident with Azzurro's safety and well being while in Peg's care!
