Hello fellow dog lovers,
We are a friendly, active, outdoorsy couple in our early thirties, and for the first time in our lives, we find ourselves without a dog. Our beloved rottweiler-lab mix, Bailey, died from cancer about a year ago. Ever since then, though, we have still managed to have a dog almost consistently in our house, as we are the go-to dog watchers for about eight of our friends.
We can't imagine our lives without a dog. Last summer and fall, we watched our friend's border collie for four months while she and her boyfriend hiked the Pacific Crest Trail from Mexico to Canada. So my boyfriend and I have plenty of long-term dog watching and dog loving experience. We can provide you with references, upon request, of course.
We live in a large three-bedroom house with a fenced-in yard in the South End in Burlington. Nearby parks on the lake are great for dog walking, running, and swimming. Ryan works from home during the day, which means your dog will not be left home alone in the house. Your dog will have full access to our house and property, including couches and beds. It's a great alternative to the crowded doggy daycare centers in town, where dogs often contract kennel cough.
Ryan and I love to trail run, mountain bike, and hang out at dog beaches on the lake. All of these activities will be available to your dog. We can also bathe and brush your dog during the visit, upon your request.
We have a passion for dog care that is like no other in this town. Your dog will not regret staying with us!
