Life-long animal lovers and pet owners, Virginia and Robert, are excited to make your dog feel at home. As a long-time pet momma who's recently found herself pet-free, Virginia knows the anxiety of leaving your fur babies behind when you travel. Rest assured your sweet pup will be cuddled, entertained and thoroughly spoiled rotten while you're away. Robert works from home, so your baby will have companionship the vast majority of the time. Doggie guests are welcome to sleep wherever they are most comfortable, whether that's a fluffy dog bed, a crate you provide or even with us in bed (as long as they don't hog the covers!). During your dog's stay, we may go for early morning hikes at nearby parks or visit a dog park for some play time with friends.
We are well versed caring for senior pets and are comfortable providing oral and injectable medications such as insulin or even sub-Q fluids. The first floor of our home is spacious and has easy entry from the front door for older dogs with joint issues. I don't keep more than two dogs at a time, so each guest can get plenty of attention. If you would like your pup to have an exclusive stay, I will mark the other slot unavailable for an additional $15 a night surcharge and not accept other boarders for your pup's visit.
We ask that all guests be house-trained, spayed/neutered, and up to date on vaccinations and flea management. Puppies must be past their chewing stage (generally older than six months).
DROP-OFFS AND PICKUPS may be done as early as 7 a.m. and as late at 9 p.m. Please book your stay to accommodate these hours. Special requests for earlier or later drop-offs may be considered if made in advance.
HOLIDAYS: No drop-off or pickup on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve after 4 p.m., Christmas day, New Year's Eve after 4 p.m. or New Years Day.
I've named our home after Sophie, my 16+ year old pointer mix who was the most loving sweetheart of a pup I've ever known until we lost her. We miss her greatly and look forward to showering your dog with all the love and attention we gave her.
