Hey there fellow dog owners ! I would be thrilled to host your dog!
A little about me ;
My name is Sonia, and I absolutely love all types of dogs. I started volunteering at local rescue shelters (RAL, ASPCA, etc.) since back in elementary school and now I have several years under my belt fostering , sitting, grooming, bathing, and walking dogs. Its always been a passion of mine to help and care for others. In fact, I ventured off in the healthcare scene for a minute so I'm , of course, Cpr certified , am a registered PCA, and I know my way around catering to those post surgery, requiring meds, specific ailments and needs.
I had a ranch back in Virginia so I'm familiar with basic vet care as I worked alongside our ranch's vet here and there.
I work from home now (mostly in front of a computer ) so I can be here for your pup almost always. And when I am out and about , your pup will have free roam of my place. I have no qualms with that since I like to keep it zen and a bit Spartan so there wouldn't be any concern over things being accidently chewed or eaten. I have cleaners who come regularly to change the sheets etc so I'd love to share my bed with your pup.
I also have a super personable therapy dog myself-Ruby. She will be your pup's additional playmate.
She is an extremely friendly 6 year old Rhodesian ridgeback mixed with GERMAN Shepard rescue. She is very friendly, obedient , and playful especially with smaller dogs. I can share videos of her playing with pups of all ages and sizes. Ruby weighs around 40lbs and has no history of previous aggression with food or others. You can see me walking down nyc streets without a leash on her, and again- she has never bitten or attacked anything in her life. She actually likes to say "good morning" to everyone, especially the regulars like deli owners, fruit stand people, and dog park attendees. I took care of Ruby since she was a puppy; she was adopted with gastrointestinal issues, and although my docs wanted me to put her down bc of further health complications (pneumonia, food issues, bedsores , etc) she prevailed. I'm very happy I didn't because she is now healthy and one of the most friendliest dogs you will meet. Ruby will be your dog's playmate.
I will take your dog out to walks and to the dog parks 4-5 times a day as I already regularly do- rain or shine- unless specifically instructed not to. Fortunately for me, I live by a couple dog runs and am right by central park as well. I do have a small backyard (no grass) access from my building, but I tend to prefer the longer walks to mitigate mobility getting constrained. All this your dog will enjoy.
As far as diet goes, I feed my own dog, Ruby, a protein heavy, grain-free diet via Wellness canned and dry food. I can feed your pup the same diet or I can feed him/her anything you drop off. I usually feed my dogs manually with a plastic spoon because they tend to eat too quickly. I also brush my dogs daily at the park, , of course, always shower them with tender loving care.
I look forward to hosting your doggie! I'm the type to also send you a lot of pics and updates. Do let me know if you have any questions, and thanks for considering me!!!
