Your smaller dog will love staying on my completely fenced, suburban farm where he or she will have plenty of secure space to romp outside and lounge on the sunny deck or relax on a comfy sofa in my air-conditioned home. I am home all day, so your dog will have undivided attention. Your senior dog will enjoy doddering about the farm, sniffing and exploring, greeting the chickens and goats at the fence and sleeping on the deck. If your dog is able, we take several walks through the wooded trails in the neighborhood. I care for just a few dogs at a time, so I can give them the greatest care and attention.
I am not a kennel and offer a home environment with carpeting and furniture. To be a good fit to stay in my home your dog must
- be solidly housetrained
- not have destructive chewing habits
- have no marking behavior or history
- have no submissive or excitement urination issues
- get along with cats
- get along with other dogs
- be on a flea-prevention program
I've had a dog-companion and have done pet care for others most of my life. I've cared for senior and high-needs dogs and will provide patient and gentle care for your pet in a quiet, low-key environment. I'm comfortable administering meds, eye-drops, and doing pet massage.
A note about stays that extend beyond 24 hours and late or early pick up: Stays that extend beyond 24 hours will be assessed an additional fee. If you need to drop off before 7:00 AM, you will need to book for the previous night. If you need to pick up after 9:00 PM, you will need to book an additional day.
If you prefer in-home visits or dog-walking services, I offer these services as well for small and large dogs in the Redmond/Union Hill area. I've had a dog-companion and have done pet care for others most of my life. I worked as a professional dog-walker in England and loved spending time with some great dogs. I volunteered at a wildlife center in Utah and was assigned to exercise the foxes. If you can "walk" a fox, you can walk anything! I will walk your dog, feed, administer meds, or provide whatever care your dog needs. I've had snakes, cats, chickens, goats, rabbits, rodents, fish, frogs, pretty much everything and will be happy to provide care for these pets as well. I currently live with a bi-polar rescue Pomeranian, two spoiled cats, a flock of mostly retired hens, a pair of curious goats, and dote on all of them!
