I have a spacious home with plenty of room for furry friends to run around. My neighborhood is nice and has sidewalks throughout. My two boys and I are regular neighborhood walkers and have a 1.5 mile route that we walk most days. My yard is small and unfenced. Dogs only use the yard first thing in the morning before I am dressed and when I get home. They are always leashed and monitored in the yard.
My boys are crated during the day. This is their preference and crating is optional for guests.
Other resident critters are four chinchillas. The chinchillas are caged and kept in my office so guests can see, but not interact with them. Some guests can find this distracting. In these cases I close the office doors to keep them out. Also, my sister's two cats are staying with me temporarily. Both cats are older and used to being with dogs.
I have had several senior dogs so am very familiar with their special needs. My house has no stairs so it is easy for seniors and those with disabilities to move around.
I am very experienced working with all sizes of dogs, however I prefer not to have large overnight guests unless they are older. I can also make accommodations for dogs with some food aggression issues, but cannot accept dogs with any other aggression issues.
