About Carrie

18 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
Hi! I'm Carrie, and I absolutely adore dogs. I live with my boys, rescues Riley and Moto. I completely understand the love you have for your dog(s). I promise to love and take as good of care of them as if they were my own.

Warning: There will be cuddles.

I'm happy to accept dogs up to 25 lbs.

The three of us have lots of experience hosting guest dogs. My dogs are exceptionally mellow and tolerant of all age ranges. We have fostered a number of pooches from Pugpals Rescue. (pugpals.org)

Previously I had a maltese/Bishon Frise who lived a very long time. Through that experience, I am knowledgable of the needs of older, ill or physically challenged dogs. My home is single level.

We take daily walks. Depending on the weather, we also often like to walk around Wheeler Farm.

I work part time about a mile and a half away. A typical work week for me is 3-4 days a week, four-ish hours a day. I have the luxury of usually making my own schedule, and I'd be happy to tailor it to your needs. However, please respect my time. If you are more than an hour later than we've agreed to for pick up and/or drop off, there will be an extra $5 fee.

I am also happy to watch your dog over the holidays. $45 per night per dog. Please request a custom quote when making holiday reservations.

facebook.com/doggyholladay has videos and photos of our previous guests, where you're welcome to check out the shenanigans and dog humor.

Doggy Holladay... Because we're in *Holladay*, and it's also a *holiday* for your dog!

Carrie is someone who is wonderful with animals. She is definitely a dog whisperer. Walking five dogs at a time should be an Olympic sport. She would take the gold.

I know I'm the kind of pet parent that wants to make sure they are not only safe but that they are happy when I'm gone. Carrie is wonderful! Her two dogs are welcoming and playful. Her home is totally open and they can even sleep in the big bed with Carrie! That's what my little one really wants. It would be hard to find a better dog sitter and I don't write anything I don't truly believe.

Carrie is so loving of dogs and she was very nice to keep us up to date with pictures and comments. Our dog loved his stay
There are SO MANY reasons why I would definitely recommend Carrie to care for your special pup! During our 'get to know each other' time Carrie was responsive, professional and kind. I could tell that she truly knew about dogs and dog behavior. My dog Minnie is an 11 year old mixed breed with some medical and emotional issues. What I loved about Carrie was that she didn't look at Minnie and see a challenge, she only saw that my Minnie needed some love and understanding! Minnie was with Carrie for 9 nights and I received text messages with updates and photos each day! I appreciated and looked forward to them! Not only have Minnie and I gained a loving and reliable dog sitter in Carrie, we have also found a wonderful friend!

Carrie was so loving with my Choncho. She sent pictures videos and I could totally feel the love that was given to my Pom! Choncho was soo happy and calm when I picked him up! Thanks Carrie!
Carrie is a wonderful doggy sitter! You can't go wrong!
Carrie is WONDERFUL! She was so caring and good with our 51/2 month old puppy. Carrie had her for several days and we got our "baby" back after she had the time of her life with Carrie's 2 doggies. Chica misses Carrie and her pups still.
We will definitely have Carrie care for Chica any time we need to leave her. Thank you DogVacay!

I have a three legged, one eyed pug who is getting on in years so I was, for obvious reasons, worried about leaving her with someone. I needn't have worried, Carrie was amazing and June Bug had a lovely time. June Bug was right at home with Moto Carrie's Pug and Riley. During June's stay Carrie was also watching Henry, yet another pug, so June had a fantastic crew to hang with... all and all it was a great experience and I would not hesitate to use Carrie again.

Carrie was the perfect host for our Maltese dog while we were on vacation. She is very friendly with excellent communication, great instructions on how to find her place and she very flexible in the drop off and pick up process.

She has two cute dogs of her own which was perfect for our dog, he had friends all day long. The doggy door was his favorite. He kept going in and out. She had a bed ready for our dog. But, I thought he might be happier with something more familiar. Carrie was great about letting us drop off his regular bed and giving him the treats we brought. She showed us the treats she had and asked if they were okay to give him.

During our vacation she kept us informed with photo's and videos of our dog.

We will be booking with Carrie next time our dog needs a vacation.

Thanks Carrie

Carrie is amazing! We were more than pleased with the care our 10 month old Pug Henry received for the 5 days he was with Carrie. This is the first time we had left him and quickly realized she loved him as much as we do. We looked forward to and enjoyed the daily updates, pictures and videos, I would recommend her again and again. She will be our one and only dog sitter. Henry was in heaven.

She is AWESOME! She did an excellent job and she will be for sure my new offical doggy sitter.
Carrie was amazing! She has a very clean home. She is kind and made me feel comfortable from the start. She sent me photos of my dog. I felt like my dog was happy and that made me happy.
This was our first time trying this process. We have 2 dogs and I have always had a hard time asking family to watch them for extended periods of time, nor have I ever liked the idea of leaving them in a kennel to be caged. Carrie was great! She happened to be available seriously last minute and her communication was both prompt and clear. She has a real love of animals, was attentive to their needs and sent us pictures every day so we could see how they were doing. We are total converts to Doggy Vacay. This is now the only place we will turn to for boarding our dogs. It's all because of Carrie. Have no doubt that your dog will be well taken care of, she's amazing. My only hope is that she had as much of an amazing experience as we did so that she will continue filling this need to the benefit of all.
