I have to temporarily stop taking boarders. I will update when I am available again. Sorry for the inconvenience to my regular customers.
I love dogs! I have roughly 3/4 acre fenced yard, a spacious single level home, and a park right across the road for wonderful walks. Your pet will get playtime inside and out, lots of love and attention, and a mentally stimulating walk. I am home most hours of the day, at most your pup will be left a couple of hours while I run errands. The only "no dog" zone in our house is the guest bedroom. (If they make there way in there, they will gently be asked to follow me out, and the door will be closed). With that one exception, your dog has run of the house. If your dog is crate trained, and prone to getting into things, I will crate him or her if I need to run errands(no more than a couple hours), and if you like them crated at night while sleeping, that is fine. The rest of the time, they can lounge around wherever I am. A dog that does not crate well will never be subjected to it here.
I'm happy to take any breed, adore mixes and rescue dogs, and love getting to know dogs of all personality types. My only requirement (besides standard shots) is that the dog be spayed, neutered or otherwise sterilized, unless your dog is still to young to have undergone the procedure.
The $45 a day fee is for 24 hours, however if you go over by less than 6 hours, there is no additional charge. It will be $10 extra if you go over by 6 to 12 hours.
There is also an additional fee of $10 per night for holiday weekends, but a discount for multiple dogs from the same household ($25 per night for the second dog).
I prefer to only take dogs at least 5 month in age, but will take a younger pup for $10 more a day. I like puppies, they are adorable, but they are quite a bit more work, and have undeveloped immune systems, so are more likely to develop a problem. I take their care very seriously. If your puppy, or any dog staying with me, shows sign of illness, I will let you know right away, and take the dog to the nearest VCA hospital that is open.
The day-care rate is in lieu of an overnight stay, if you are in the area and want your dog to visit me and have a great play day during the day.
I am more than happy to provide a quote for you.
I ask that you provide your dog's food. It is best they stay on the same diet to avoid an upset stomach, or an unexpected allergic reaction, and I find it difficult to keep every brand on hand :) If they have regular treats, feel free to bring those and their favorite toys as well. I do have some treats and toys, and I sanitize the toys between guests.
Please let me know if your dog has know allergies or health issues, and if their are things they do not like, for instance having their paws touched. I want to do my best to make your pet comfortable and happy, and information helps me do that.
