About Jackie

20 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
I'm not employed outside the home and I do not have small children. Though jobs and kids can be great, I was laid off from mine and the kids are about ready for college! Dogs are my life and are completely spoiled at my house. But wait, there's more!
Top reasons to keep your dog at my home instead of a traditional kennel:
1. Less stress for your pet.
- Individualized attention provided by a true dog lover, no cages and a lot of
snuggles.
2. Access to the securely fenced yard at all times via doggy-door.
- Perfect for dogs who love to go in and out all day!
3. Decreased chance of picking up kennel cough or other diseases.
- Fewer animals to interact with, a cleaner environment and no fleas!
4. Buddies!
- My two dogs are used to being around visiting pups and are very
well behaved. All introductions are done while on-leash to prevent any
scuffles. A nice walk together usually helps bond them if there are any issues.
5. Experience
-I've had dogs all my life. I've studied dog behavior and nutrition and love everything about them! Your pup's safety and happiness are my highest priority.
About me:
I am Jackie and I live in Katy with my husband, two teenage sons who do home school, and my other kids, er DOGS Bizzy and Frito. Bizzy is an 8 year old mixed breed all-American Mutt. I've never had a sweeter dog, she just loves everybody and all other dogs. Frito is a fairly new addition to our home and he has breathed new life into Bizzy. He loves to chase a ball and cuddle. He is a new baby still has a lot to learn. Just ask my carpet, lol. As a Chihuahua and Mini-Dachshund mix he makes a great watch dog, meaning he barks when the doorbell rings. We have had some of the best times as a family at the dog park, laughing and watching all the pups. In fact, there was a brief time when we didn't have a dog and I had to go to the dog park to pet other people's pups.
** Our house is great for extra small, small, and medium dogs! We have a low window that we've added steps to that acts as a doggy door and can accommodate most dogs. My dogs teach the guest dog how to use it within minutes!
** There's no such thing as a perfect dog and a heads-up is appreciated if your dog has issues so problems can be avoided. If they are obsessed with Ball or have any other quirks just let me know. I'd love to sit for a long-hair breed that likes to be brushed everyday.
** ALL feedings for all dogs in the house are separate! Some dogs don't like to eat all at once or be left alone, so I take measures to see that they eat enough. Some dogs are much more active and eat a lot more than normal while on vacay, while others may eat less than normal.
** I will generally send a morning picture and an evening picture update. If you'd like more or less let me know :)
About DAY CARE:
There are many reasons you may want to bring your dog to play for the day:
1. Your baby doesn't like to be left alone while you run errands.
2.Your pup likes to play with other dogs, but the dog park is too stressful.
3.You want to see how vacay works before you go on your vacation.
4.Your dog is left alone frequently and you'd like to burn off their excess energy and have a happier, more relaxed pup.
5.You love your dog, and that has to be true if you're still reading my ad!
Thanks for your time.

I have never seen anyone who had so much fun watching other peoples dogs. Jackie has real concern about the dogs that she is responsible for. She remembers every dogs name, breed, size, behaviors and requirements and treat them all like they were hers during their stay. Jackie has a deep respect for the owner's bond with their dog and always ensures that they are cared for as if they were at home. A true dog person.

I have known Jackie for over 20 years. As a coworker and a friend. For as long as I can remember, she has loved dogs the same way I love cats. Like they are family and are such a big part of your life. She understands the role a dog plays in a home; not just a pet, but your friend; your extended family. I have always been impressed at Jackie's attention to detail with not only her own dogs but with ones she is taking care of. She handles the basics of course, food water, walks, but she is concerned about so many other details as well. Are they having any behavior changes? Are they getting enough play time and attention? Are they getting enough exercise? What kind of toy or attention really makes this one tick? Etc. I love that she takes her charges and their care and well being so seriously and at the same time she SO loves doing it. They say that if you do what you love you will never work a day in your life. Taking care of dogs fills that quote for Jackie. When she talks about the dogs she is taking care of, if you didn't know they were dogs, you would think they were children she is watching over because she takes that role so seriously. And yet has so much fun with them--I don't know who enjoys the experience more--her or the dog! We email regularly back and forth and she made a comment at the end of an email the other day after sharing a story about one of her own dogs that pretty much sums up her and her love of dogs: "Because where you find me, you will always find a dog." Simply said, you could not ask for a better caregiver for your dog than Jackie.

Jackie was awesome with my puppy, Malfoy. She works really well with dogs and I could tell he was in great hands. She has a large backyard and other dogs there as well. I got pictures everyday.
Jackie was awesome with my puppy!! This was the first time my puppy has stayed overnight with anyone who is not family so i was nervous initially. But from the first meeting with Jackie and her family, I knew Lexi would be in good hands. Jackie provided daily photo updates and was very responsive to my texts. i will definitely use her again.

Jackie's care of Bear for the weekend was outstanding, especially since he has separation anxiety and has not been away from family for 2 nights before. He did very well all through the visit, thanks to Jackie's loving attention and gentle way with dogs. Also, Jackie's two dogs were perfect companions and playmates during his stay. Jackie sent pictures and updates throughout Bear's visit and it was clear he was in good hands. Bear will certainly be a return customer.
