About David

8 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
I've been caring for animals all my life and have provided life-long care a variety of large and small dogs, cats, small and medium mammals, reptiles, amphibians and insects. I love dogs the most, but I'm comfortable caring for all types of domestic and exotic pets in my home or yours. My wife and I currently care for one dog, three cats and over a dozen small caged animals (contained in rooms of our house that can be made inaccessible to dogs) but we always have room for more.

My dog Leroy is very friendly and loves all animals, he's totally non-aggressive but he sometimes gets a little too excited and needs to be put in time out to cool off before resuming play. My cats are indifferent to pretty much all other forms of life and will usually hide from unfamiliar animals. All pets are up to date on their shots. As long as your pet isn't actively aggressive they should get along fine. I'm comfortable taking a dog that is aggressive toward other animals on a walk, or visiting them in their home, but I will not board a dog that hasn't had its shots or may hurt my pets.

My home has tile floors and I have a large back yard with a pool and plenty of shade. The porch is fully enclosed with a gate that can be used as an extra large dog crate with water and comfortable furniture, if dogs need to be separated or contained for any reason. I live in a quiet neighborhood with several nearby parks, including Shadow Mountain preserve, which is within walking distance of my house and is great place to see rabbits and birds. Leroy and I always go for at least one mile-long walk per day, although we can split that up into several shorter walks to accommodate dogs that can't walk that far at a time and are willing to stay out for up to two hours at a time for dogs that have a lot of energy to blow off.

I'm willing to make any other reasonable accommodation that your pet requires. I'm experienced in providing the special care that senior dogs and young puppies need. I don't mind cleaning up messes or giving medicine or providing constant attention to animals that need it. I'm also experienced providing emergency care to sick and injured animals, should the need arise.

I've had the pleasure of knowing Dave a long time- nearly 20 years. He's always been a true animal lover, and a lover of ALL animals, at that. He's cared for my Spike for multiple days at a time, and I trust him entirely. He's great with dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets, fish, snakes, lizards, to name a few.

Not only is he trustworthy and skilled at animal care, he's a kind person that truly cares about the wellbeing of animals. I would recommend Dave to anybody that wants peace of mind, knowing their pets are in kind, capable hands.

I wouldn't trust anyone else with my animals the way I trust David with them. David is attentive, friendly, and compassionate with all animals. He really seems to have a kinship with them that translates into wonderful relationships. My pets love spending time with him and so will yours!

David has always taken the best care of my babies. I have a wide variety of animals dogs, cats, and reptiles but I have to go up north a couple times a month. David feeds and exercises all of the animals when I'm gone.
