My experience caring for dogs is deeply rooted -- I grew up in a house with 8! Naturally, as soon as I graduated from college, I adopted my first child, Pangaea. Long story short, I currently have 3 fur children who absolutely LOVE meeting new friends.
I have a large house with a fully fenced yard that is perfect for playing. The pups are allowed on the furniture, so they can spend the day watching TV or playing with one of the many squeaky toys I have!
I also go to the dog park quite often, so if you'd like, I can bring your dog to the park for some exercise (I wouldn't bring mine along). I go to the one off of Barker-Cypress Road (formerly Upper Horsepen Creek Park).
I have been a volunteer at the Houston SPCA for the past 3 years, and a foster for the past 2. I've also been a foster for the Houston pug rescue. I've been through and seen it all, so nothing scares me. If your dog requires daily shots, I'm good with that. Leash aggression is not a problem. I have pugs, so, food aggression is definitely something I'm familiar/comfortable with handling.
I moved to Texas from the DC area (where I was born and raised) to be a petroleum geologist; lo and behold, 3 1/2 years in, I succumbed to the 4th round of layoffs my company held. I'm currently looking for a new job in the industry, and in the meantime, thought I would try becoming a host on dog vacay (if I'm home all day, might as well play with some puppies!) I am the pickiest person when it comes to finding a place for my babies, so I know what you are looking for in a trustworthy dog sitter. I offer a multi-dog discount for 2+ pets on the same reservation. Feel free to contact me if you'd like to know more about me! Thanks.
