About Scotty

6 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
I had at least 8 pets in the past, and since I was younger and had a lot of free time I would try to train them and learn a lot about myself, which included patience, understanding, caring and generosity towards animals.
I lost my dogs due to my mother giving them away, or refusing to look after them while I was at school. And every single time broke my heart....The longest relationship I had with a dog was Solo, he was with me for around 4 years, and i loved him to death, but sadly my mom gave him away.
After much time thinking it over, I would like to share that love with other animals, and if possible help those in need that can't always be around for theirs. Cause I know the feeling of leaving an animal you love out of care, and wondering how they're doing and what I could've done to make it better. I'm finally out of school and would love to invest a lot of my time working with animals.
One of my special skills is the fact some say I have a genuine warmth dogs can feel, and it helps us get along. I think it's because I can walk up to almost any animal with unwavering conviction and want to pet them.
I do have a small backyard, but there is plenty of space to explore and do business if they need a quick frolic. I do give animals a lot of my time, and especially love thinking of new ways to play with them if they're not content with one method. We have a lot of closed doors, so there's no issue if the dog wants to explore or run around the house.
I can guarantee fetch, and since I live near a park I would be able to walk them consistently and without much delay. A lot of my neighbors have pets, so I'm excited to get more experience and grow alongside the current pet I'm looking after.
A day in my house with an animal might just be relaxing, or really exciting.

I don't have money as of yet for consistent dog food or buying a leash, but I can supply the walking and anything else if giving the required materials.
I like giving dogs freedom, but I'm not afraid to help train and give restrictions. I'm not hard on animals and try to give them as much time and affection they need.

Scotty was great! Very flexible with drop off/pick up times, and took great care of Barley while I was away!
Scotty was helpful, flexible and super responsive. He sent lots of pictures and kept me updated daily with how Pepper was doing. Very friendly and communicative, and made the whole process stress-free!
Scotty was so attentive, understanding, available, and communicative. I felt very secure leaving my dog with him for a week. Scotty asks all the right questions and genuinely cared about me and my fur baby. I've rarely left him with anyone other than a family friend or relative but I would send him on vaca to Scotty again and again.
GREAT with my pups, I highly recommend Scotty
If I had to use one word to describe my experience with Scotty, it would be attentive. From before August even arrived to the time I picked him up the next day, he was considerate and interested in the details that would make sure August was conforrable and taken care of while in his care. He's only 5 minutes away from my apartment and will definitely be my official go to any nights I have to work overnight from now on.
Scotty was great! He kept me updated with text and pictures on how my dog was doing while I was away. Definitely recommend!
Great vacation. Scott was very flexible and helpful.
Yoda had a great time and Scotty was great about communication, letting me know how Yoda was doing, sending pictures, and asking any questions if anything came up.
Scotty was friendly and has a cozy house about a mile from the Capitol. It was easy to communicate with him and he kept me posted through text messages throughout the day. My dog had a good time and was confortable going back the next day.
Scotty was awesome! Super flexible with lots of updates and photos. Maddie loved him!
I had such peace of mind leaving my dog in Scotty's care for a long weekend vacation. I could immediately tell when I met him that he has such a love for animals, and he instantly bonded with Scully upon meeting her. He asked great questions to make sure he was prepared for her needs, and stayed in constant contact throughout her stay, for which I was so thankful. I will definitely rebook with Scotty in the future!
Super happy with Scotty! He is a professional pet boarder who asks as the right question in prep for my pets' stay. During their stay Scotty sent timely updates and pictures and spoiled my boys! Will definitely book care again with Scotty!
Awesome!! This was the first time my "furry sons" was away with a total stranger and so I was a little hesitant but Scotty reassured me they would be fine. He stayed in constant contact with me to update me on their status and sent great pics of them. I would definitely use his services again and recommend you to give him a go.
Scotty was very flexible and accommodating to our needs. He made himself very available and it was always very easy to get in touch with him, which we greatly appreciated. He was very kind and gentle and took our dog, Heinz, on many walks. Sorry Heinz was such a brat, but thank you so much for your help and service!
Scotty gave Leo love and affection based on the constant pics/updates we received. Def recommend Scotty. Affordable and caring.
Scotty was amazing. Being that Max is still a puppy and very playful, I was very happy to see that Scotty kept up with him. He communicated well, with Max's pictures, updates and Max's needs. He was very patient and worked perfectly with my schedule. I would love to use Scotty again. Max came back home and snored all night lol.
When I booked the initial appointment I was a day off and needed to board my pup a day early. This wasn't a problem for Scotty! He met me bright and early in the morning to get my puppy boarded and go over the specifics (he didn't even charge me for the additional day). While away, we stayed in contact via email and text (which was pretty annoying for him, I'm sure, since I was abroad and didn't have cell service), but he was very accommodating. When I got back I could tell my puppy had been well taken care of and given the proper attention!
Scotty took great care of our dog, Koa while we were away. He provided constant updates and pics to us. We never had to guess how our 'furbaby' was doing. Scotty was also very patient with Koa. Our dog normally travels with us and this was the longest we needed to leave him with a sitter. When we returned he was just as happy as we had left him.

If you're in the DC area and need a pet sitter, I recommend you to consider Scotty.
When Roosevelt met Scotty on our Meet & Greet, he was very comfortable with him and that was all I needed to know. Scotty was very attentive to Roosevelt and texted me often with updates while I was out of the country. When he noticed something, he would text me to inquire about it and I would let him know whether or not it was something of concern; and it wasn't. But I appreciate him noticing little differences in Roosevelt and notifying me to see if that was the norm. I am definitely going to use him again because my dog likes him, and I want my dog to be comfortable while I'm away so I can enjoy my travels.
Scott was very communicative regarding the dogs and their adjustment. They were immediately drawn to him , which was highly unusual. It was a good experience and I will use him again.
Very informative and kept me updated with how my puppy was doing. Using him again. Also helpful with training techniques.
Scotty's visit was Zorro's second time away from home. He made sure that he did everything in his power to ensure Zorro felt right at home!! I plan on using Scotty again in the future!!
Scotty was extremely professional and took good care of my older dog. Although I was away a week, I felt reassured that my dog was left in good hands. I would be happy to use Scotty's services again.
Yes, Scott is gentle, accommodating and a friendly young man. However, I was not happy that my dog seemed to be under the influence of some sort of depressant and smelled like a "skunk". I had to give her a bath when I got home tonight because she had some weird incense oil on her fur. Unfortunately, I don't think I'm comfortable using him as a sitter again. Sorry, Scott.
Scotty is reliable, friendly, and great with dogs! We have left our lab with him twice and he has come back to us relaxed and happy after extended stays. Scotty communicates regularly and is thoughtful about the uniques needs of each dog he cares for. Scotty also was able to help us out last minute to accommodate unexpected changes in our travel schedule which helped alleviate some of the stress we all can experience when leaving our dogs. We definitely will continue working with Scotty and recommend you do the same!
I was scrambling for last minute boarding for my dog, Radar, and Scotty saved the day. My kids were concerned because we've never met Scotty before and there was no time for meet and greet. But Scotty sent updates on Radar, and by the second day, my family was more relaxed and knew Radar is in capable hands. Scotty also sent us pictures of Radar, and he was very patient when Radar took over his bed. I did warn him that Radar is a couch potato, and he didn't disappoint. I would recommend Scotty.
Scotty was very accommodating and friendly. Would absolutely recommend him for a doggy-stay!
Scotty kept me updated on my dog, sent pictures, play time. He did well with my puppy. Would use again. I would recommend him
