There has been a dog in my home since I was a child. I grew up learning to treat all animals with love and respect. A past teacher asked me to dog sit her special needs dog (in her home) for weeks at a time in high school and I continued to watch her all throughout college as well. My family dog growing up also became diabetic the last few years of his life, and I administered Insulin via injections to him.
My Son has been brought up to be very careful and gentle around dogs. My parent's rescued a very large dog who is aggressive, so he is used to being very careful around all dogs.
My home is two stories so there is plenty of room for dogs to roam around in if they like to. We allow our dog, and dogs that we watch on all furniture. We have carpeting as well as tile in our home. It is right by several beautiful bike paths, so we are always going on long walks to get all of our energy out!
I am a stay at home Mom, so I will be in the home all day and night throughout the year (minus the occasional weekly shopping trip).
I can not own 100s of dogs, so this is my way of spreading my love!
