Pet care experience
I'm an animal lover who is committed to taking care of your pet as if it were my own. I am experienced with all kinds of pets - dogs, cats, small mammals, fish and birds. (I am able to care for horses, reptiles, and amphibians as well, but I am much more experienced with the others.) My family has had several dogs over the years and I have gained the rest of my experience through working with shelters, adoption centers, pet supply stores, and an animal hospital.

We own two large dogs......one needs someone to sit while she eats... it can take 20 minutes to eat her kibble one piece at a time, the other wants your love and attention all the time and will push/knock the other out of way to get to you. Sandra handled both with genuine affection and both dogs now ADORE her and I swear they want to move in with her - she spoils them with love......who could ask for more. BTW Sandra also house sits - excellent at that too!
As a catmom of a special-needs cat (diabetes), and a dogmom of an attention hungry golden retriever, I was so happy with Sandra's care of my pets. She was comfortable administering insulin to my cat, and my golden couldn't get enough of her. She was respectful of my home, and I wouldn't hesitate having her back.

Availability
I can care for elderly or sick pets and am completely comfortable providing medicine in many different forms (pills, ointments, subcutaneous injections, etc.) at different times of day. I have worked with rescue animals and I understand the patience and compassion necessary to rehabilitate an animal with a background of abuse and/or neglect.
