About Sam

20 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
Sab·bat·i·cal
[s uh- bat-i-k uhl]

NOUN.

Any extended period of leave from one's customary work, especially for rest, to acquire new skills or training, etc.

My name is Sam and I am a fun- loving mountain girl from the hills of Central California. I grew up on a ranch with animals everywhere on a 20 acre lot. I have experience caring for Horses, Goats, Sheep, Cats, Dogs, Small Rodents, Aquatic Life, Reptiles, Birds and Exotic Wildlife. I currently offer a lush green lawn and Park Access for ample exercise and play. I also have access to plenty of beautiful nature trails,( More Photos of the Bark Park Soon to Come!) (Perfect for the dog that requires long walks) I will also allow the pups in my room for a cool off and nap (complete with Animal Planet). If your fur babies have travel comforts, you are encouraged to bring them. A leash is required for outdoor/indoor transition. If they have additional housing (pet bed) or travel carriers/ kennel it is encouraged that you leave them in your absence. It is important for your pals to have something with their scent on it in a new place away from Pet Mom & Dad. Additionally, any toys or stuffed animal friends are welcome for indoor play.

I cannot wait to care for and get to know your fur family. It is my promise to treat them as part of my own pack, anticipate their needs and be an attentive, hospitable friend in your absence.

My fiancé and I used Sam while we went to Florida for eight days. It was our first time leaving the dogs with someone other than our parents and we were very anxious about leaving them. We should not have been worried! I think that our dogs had a better time with Sam than they do with us and were a little bummed to have us back home! Sam took great care of them and went above and beyond. She is caring, trustworthy, and pays great attention to detail. We will definitely be using Sam in the future for all of our pet sitting needs!

Sam was awesome my Saban along with my kitties loved her. ( even the shy scaredy cat showed herself) definitely will be using her services again. With my husband undergoing surgery she understood the last thing we needed to worry about was our fur babies.

Sam was the best!!!! This was our first time using her and she was very professional and beyond helpful. She took notes and asked questions which showed just how much cares and truly loves animals. Our dogs loved her company and she kept us up-to-date with what was going on. I highly recommend her to everyone - don't look any further than to Sam.

Sam came through for us at the last minute when our plans fell through, and we are more than happy that she did!

She was very quick to get a hold of before we dropped off our dog and during the four nights our dog was there. Plus she was eager to share pictures from our dog's "vacation" at her house! We have a senior dog (13.5 years) who is blind and going deaf, and requires tender care. Sam did just that -- allowing our dog to snuggle and feel comfortable in her home. We are more than happy we found Sam through this website!

Highly recommended!

Sam was an excellent choice for us and Molly our 3yo.GSD. She had never been separated from us before, and although she nipped Sam, Sam was understanding and not too perplexed by the situation. I think I was more traumatized! Molly came home and slept for 4 hours, unheard of! So can only imagine the fun she had. Oh and she came home with treats, how awesome is that?! Thankyou Sam.
