Hi! My name is Samantha and I would love the opportunity to care for your pets and spoil them with lots of snuggles. I have always loved all animals, and have dedicated a large part of my adult life to helping dogs find loving forever homes. I grew up with two German Shepherds and a poodle, and have volunteered with rescue organizations for the past five years. I began fostering dogs about two years ago to do as much as I could to help find these dogs homes.
I have no restrictions on age, breed, or size; I've cared for every type of dog with every type of issue that you could think of, and I've loved every minute of it! My weekends are extremely flexible ( I can be with the dog(s) 24/7 if necessary).
I am currently pursuing my PhD in Chemistry at UMD and I do my research Monday-Friday from 9 am to 5 pm. However, I work less than five minutes away from home, so I can come home during lunch for walks and play time! I have a crate for dogs that are crate trained, or a small area that can be gated for those that prefer to stay out of the crate.
My house is large enough for dogs of any size, and pets are always welcome to snuggle on the couch or in bed! Where ever they are happiest, I am happiest! I have a closed-in patio area for dogs that like the outdoors and am close to lots of grassy areas for walks. I am also willing to have dogs in the car (I have a safety buckle for them) if they're up to a trip to the dog park!
I know that it is never easy to leave your furry friends behind, but they'll be in excellent hands with me!
