Sally's Doggie Resort

Pet care experience

First let me say, please allow me to watch your special four legged friend. My husband will not let me have more than three of my own and this is my loophole. Your pet will enjoy interaction with my family, my pets and occasionally my friends as well. All pet sizes welcome. Only pet friendly friends allowed. PLAYTIME: allowed for both inside and outside, but bad weather keeps us inside. Huge area fenced that allows for plenty of running and chasing. TRAINING: done throughout day as running an active household dictates. I train your dog to interact peacefully in my home. No jumping or stealing things from counters, entering and exiting my home with permission only, walks are done behind me not in front, playtime is play only not possession or ownership. WALKING: as NEEDED for energy level, up to a mile twice a day. Meant to help with bad energy. MY PETS: (2015) Tessa is a eight year old Rottweiler, Luna is an nine year old Jack Russel Terrier, and our newest addition is Batman, a 40 pound mix who is two years old. Mutually known commands include: Come, sit, lay, catch, fetch, out, place, and potty. Batman and Tessa will heel. Luna and Batman will beg. Batman will stay. We enjoy new playmates and playing frisbee, tug-a-war, fetch and tag. Batman enjoys search and find, Tessa loves pool play, and Luna loves to cuddle. Down time is enjoyed on pet beds throughout the house or on the pet couch. BEDTIME: up to each owner. My pets enjoy both my bed and theirs. For your pets enjoyment, please let me know likes and dislikes. If your dog needs crating, please bring that along. NEW: Now offering home visits (mostly for CATS) and walking (mostly for DOGS) services. I will give priority booking to home visits of current dog boarders. I can only do home visits and walking services at or after 3 pm M-F, more flexible on Saturdays and Sundays. My intention with these new services: Cats are mostly self sufficient and a lot of cat parents leave them at home for several days without worry. Unfortunately, some of my doggie boarders have feline pals at home that I cannot take due to sever allergy concerns. (Need I mention my husband again... he can be a bummer sometimes.) However, I am now willing to check up on them for you. The walking services is intended for those of you who think their canines just need an opportunity to stretch their legs and owners are just to busy or unable to currently. I am very willing to work with dogs who may need work in regard to their walks. (issues may be as simple as likes to walk in front to fear of automobiles) I like to walk my dogs not be walked myself. If this is needed walks may be shortened in order to teach. (Subject to time allotted.) Prices for NEW: (subject to change after first visit - I will discuss with you these changes on case by case bases if needed) $20 - 15 minutes $30 - 30 minutes $35 - 45 minutes $40 - 60 minutes Note: My current best mile is 18 minutes. I do not yet offer runs. Maybe next year. MEET & GREATS are still Mandatory for new clients. This will allow me to find out what you need me to do for you at your home.

Our little guy Jasper has been staying with Sally and her family since he was 4 months old. They do such an amazing job. She's excellent at sending updates, both texts and pictures, and even includes a written copy of her notes after the first stay. She's also extremely caring and it's evident that Jasper loves being over there and they love having him. We couldn't ask for anything more. Sally is simply the best.

Sally did a wonderful job with my Golden/Shar Pei mix, Josie. She took pictures and gave me frequent updates during my two week trip overseas. She also was good giving her daily medication and washing Josie's ears when needed. I also appreciated an E-mail requesting to cut a mat on Josie's ear. There is plenty of fenced area on Sally's property so Josie got plenty of exercise. In addition to getting exercise in a fenced area, Sally takes the dogs out for walks. I should mention Sally was very easy to work with. I was overseas and it was difficult to communicate having no cellphone coverage and very limited E-mails. We had to pick up Josie one day late and she was vey understanding about the situation.

Sally watches my dog whenever I am out of town. Snoopy enjoys her stays and has acclimated to Sally's home nicely. Sally is friendly and the dogs all respond well to her.
