About sally

10 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
Hello, my name is Sally. I am a professional dog walker and cat care provider with 10 years' experience walking dogs, pet sitting, and in-home care-taking. I am a professional member of Pet Sitters' Associates and am insured and bonded by Pet Sitters' Associates. I am committed to keeping the dogs and cats in my care safe while simultaneously having a great time. I avidly pursue ongoing continuing education and professional development by retaining professional dog trainers and behaviorists, as well as keeping current on all industry literature. I put my clients first and am well respected and referred to by local veterinarians and pet related businesses. I am ideal for busy pet owners to get their pets the exercise, playtime, fresh food & water, clean litter box, poop-scooping they need to be healthy, happy, and a pleasure to live with. When I'm not busy helping my clients enjoy more stress-free and streamlined lives with their canine and feline companions, I enjoy walking my own dog. I live in a comfortable, peaceful, pet-friendly home, in a beautiful neighborhood ideal for walking dogs, plus I'm walking distance from a dog-friendly park. I play chuckit ball with the "ball dogs", run them on bikes, take them swimming, take them to dog parks, and always try to vary the walk routes. I try to change up the routines to keep it interesting and as much fun as possible. And after I've gotten them good and exercised, I like to spend about the last 10 minutes chilling with them, whether it be brushing them, or just sitting and petting them, giving a few treats, talking to them in gentle, loving tones, whatever, just so that we have a cool down bonding time together before I have to leave them. My ultimate goal is to be every client's "dream come true" by alleviating them of all stress and worry about their pets while they're away, because I provide the highest quality pet care anyone could ask for. I'm nurturing, calm, understanding, fun and patient. I know how and when to correct any bad behavior, and do so in a positive, gentle manner. I worked as a professional paralegal for about 20 years prior to starting this business. This work required me working in offices with lots of people and a high level of stress. It became crystal clear to me that I didn't want to work in that field, didn't like working with people, and wanted more than anything to be able to work with dogs (and other small animals of course). For the first time in my adult professional life, I can say I LOVE WHAT I DO!!!! I am happier than I ever thought possible, and look forward to each new day, and each new dog I get to work with. The one and only downside is, I get very attached to each dog I work with, so the jobs that are one time deals, i.e., the people that travel maybe once a year, and outside of that never need my services, I get a lump in my throat each time I have to say goodbye to those precious pups. There's just something so moving about a dog's eyes. I just love them.

Sally is the only person i would trust my dog, Guido with. She is so loving and attentive with my dog. Her own dog is loving and so sweet to my dog. I am physically disabled so Sallys care is invaluable to me. She always takes time with him and doesnt rush her time with him.
