About Katrina

I live on 10 acres with two dogs and 4 cats. I also have a toddler and soon newborn baby so I ask that dogs are good with kids. We just bought a new house and have been living here for 2 years. It's an older house so its a work in progress. We have a fenced in backyard so the dogs can get some exercise. I have taken a vet class and volunteered at a vet hospital. So I am capable of administrating medication. I also worked at a dog wash and offer dog grooming! I absolutely love dogs and love working with them. I am super flexible and good with last minute bookings. Indoor and outdoor dogs welcome. Small and large welcome. I can offer a fun, safe, and loving environment for your pet.

I was hoping this would be a great place to board my dog, and Katrina was helpful in boarding my dog at the last minute. I didn't get much feedback either dropping off or picking up from Katrina. I felt like I was the one asking questions and giving information. The 'ranch' is dry acreage and I think the dogs are contained in a pretty big backyard area which was getting reinforcement while I was there bc Katrina's dog had gotten out previously. Rocky seems tired and he was happy to play with the owners' two dogs--he's a friendly dog so he loves to play. It's honestly between a 2 and a 3 star.

A couple of concerns: There were dirty diapers on the porch when I came to drop off Rocky. It was a little disquieting, along with an outside kennel which hadn't been cleaned in a while. Another woman (mom?) answered the door and she commented: 'Another dog?' when I came, which made me wonder a little bit about the whole situation. My dog has dysentery now. If I had seen the place prior, I probably wouldn't have boarded my dog there.
Our chuihuahua was cared for well. Katrina has a couple other dogs that are large so she let our dog stay in with her the entire week.
Very friendly, treated my dog very special and complimented about her good behavior!
Great! This was like the 10th time she stayed with Katrina.
My dog had an excellent stay with Katrina and will definitely return in the future.
another great stay. thanks Katrina!
This was my 4 (5th?) time with my dog staying at Katrina's house. Great experience. Perfect fit for me and my dog!
Ben loves going to Katrina's place! He gets so excited when he goes there, I know she's taking great care of him. Thanks Katrina! It's so nice to have a loving home for him to go to when we have to be out of town!
I was nervous to board my dogs because they had never been boarded, but as soon as I met Katrina I was impressed and confident that I had found the right place! She was caring and flexible with our times, and I know my fur kids were well taken care of. When there was a little bit of a health scare with my older dog, Katrina called me right away to let me know so I could decide what to do. I will take my dogs to her next time they need a vacation!
Let’s start it out by saying this is not a ten acre ranch by any means; more of a dilapidated deck, with cement as a backyard, not to mention the twenty rabbit cages stacked throughout the backyard. To make our introduction even worse Katrina was not present at the time of our arrival. So the dad (who was a polite gentleman) took over the introduction and showed us around and received the dogs. Me and my husband were worried about the situation, but tried to relax and trust that Katrina would be good to our dogs. We talked to her after dropping the dogs off, on our way home, and asked if she would please call us that night and let us know how the dogs were. No call, instead we called her that night. The next day we talked to Katrina, and she was nice, and said the dogs were doing great, no real detail just that Mia was good and Lupe was fixated on the rabbits. We get to the house to pick up our dogs, and once again Katrina was not there, instead the dad answered, even though he was on his way off to work (there would have been nobody there). Then we go to the backyard, where we find both of our dogs were in a cage with dirty water bowls, one bed ripped to shreds, and the other one was wet, not to mention the dog poop inside of the cage (Lupe somehow "got a rabbit in her mouth", that is why both were in the cage. Also Lupe escaped the backyard, which is not hard for any semi-athletic dog to do). Mia, who was filled out before we left her with Katrina (or whoever takes care of the dogs), was now skinny to the point you could see her ribs. Lupe had clearly not had a bite to eat which is not unusual for her, but they both seemed stressed.
It is my opinion that Katrina left our dogs in the cage for the majority of the stay, and even overnight. Also my opinon, the dogs never went on any type of walk, even though there are acres of land around the property. I would consider this “doggy vacay” hellish. In fact I would ask for money back if that was a possibility. A 2 out of 10 ranking (2 because the dad was nice and the dogs didn’t have any lacerations). Wow! What a scam!
Will definately schedule with Katrina again! Thanks again for watching our mutt. He seems very happy after his vacation
Katrina was awesome and took great care of our 2 babies while we went on our vacation. Both dogs were very well cared for. Being mostly inside little dogs I was worried where they would stay and didn't want them to go to a kennel type environment and not get the love and time they are used to. I could tell that both dogs were so happy at Katrina's and well loved! Our little dog Zuma is a tiny lap dog and all of her family let Zuma sit on their laps too! I highly recommend her, she obviously loves animals and cared for them like they were hers. I will definitely be a repeat client in the future.
Very pleasant to deal with and they took great care of my dog!
Katrina was extremely flexible with our traveling schedule and made a great dog sitter for our girl Sharpi. She even sent me a picture of her while we were away! She has extremely reasonable prices, and we are so happy to have found her!
Great! No problems, and Sandy (my dog) loves the visit!
Katrina and her family took great care of Ben. He came home happy and well. thanks Katrina!
3rd time using Katrina to watch my Dog. Super happy with the outcome, and I will ask to stay with her in the future!
Katrina was awesome!! Our family dog Otis was well taken care of and quite happy when we arrived. Katrina sent us a photo of Otis while we were on vacation that helped ease our worries of leaving him somewhere. She was flexible and very easy going with Otis. Not only did she take care of his basic needs, she also played with him! Due to his breed other boarding facilities refused to care for him. But the fact that Katrina not only cared for Otis but actually engaged him spells winner in my book! Thank you for a seamless experience!!
Katrina was super nice and friendly. She watched my dog like a champ! I was worried because of how much energy my dog has, but Katrina did a great job. My dog will be visiting her again!
Katrina did a great job taking care of Ben, obviously loves dogs, and even gave him a free bath. She kept me up-to-date, was flexible about pick-up and drop-off times and was overall very helpful. Her place is well-suited for dogs. I'll definitely use her services again. Thanks Katrina!
