About Ryan

4 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
I grew up in a pet-loving home. We always had at least one pet and as many as three at a time. When I was born we had a shepherd mix named Misty. When I was a little older we added a rescue cat named OJ then another, Ziggie. Later we added a rescue pup named Panda (my mom always told me even the vet wasn't sure what her breed was!).

I also lived with a with a great big lab puppy for a while who was absolutely amazing, cuddly, and super mischievous but no one could stay mad because of his incredible personality. Most recently I lived with two shih tzus, one an incredibly adorable bubbly puppy named Ariel and the other a somewhat troubled older dog named Nibs, which was fitting because he was super protective of his mom and would nibble your hand off if you got too close at the wrong time.

So, I have a lot of experience with many different pets of different breeds and temperaments.

My home has lots of natural light from our huge south facing windows so we get sunlight all day. I live with my girlfriend Deena who also grew up with pets and loves dogs. She's very excited at the prospect of having pets around!

I'm about a mile from Balboa and Pioneer Parks so we can walk, jog, or drive for some great open running. I'm also set back from main roads so we can walk through residential neighborhoods without worrying about crossing busy streets. I love to be active myself so running around outside with dogs is my type of recreation!

I'm in nursing school and have the expected caring nurturing temperament so I'll provide the same loving care for your pet and certainly deliver any special needs he or she may have.

I am available almost all holidays for an small premium.

Please keep to agreed upon drop off and pick times. If a pet owner is more than an hour late beyond the time we agreed upon, a standard $15 day care fee will be applied. If we are in communication, of course I will make exceptions for emergencies, up to my discretion. Please inquire with any questions.

Ryan was kind enough to take on the task of caring for my 6 month old lab puppy during a time I was spending 12-14 hours away from home due to work/commuting. Ryan was the perfect fit- dependable, attentive, flexible, and I'm certain very patient as well knowing Tyson's behavior at that time. Not once did I return home to an accident or destruction in the house, which any of you who have had puppies know is quite the feat over a 2-3 month span. I would often times instead return home to find Tyson wiped out in his bed with a stick he had picked up during their walks or having fallen asleep with a new toy Ryan had brought over. Tyson's behavior upon Ryan's arrival was all I needed to see to know he was in the right hands while I was away. Thank you again Ryan!

Hello my name is Golan Klotzman, Ryan to me is like a big brother I never had and such a great guy. About 2 years ago I got a puppy, she's a shih tzu and her name is Ariel. Ryan adored Ariel so so much that he would always offer to take her for walks and was always there to watch her when no one else could. I think that Ryan would be a great dog walker because he is so caring and has a clear passion for dogs and was always great with Ariel; whether it was running around with her like crazy, or just snuggling I could always see how much he loved her.

Ryan is a great caregiver. He is a true animal lover with tons of love and attention to give to your pet! In addition to Ryan's years of experience caring for animals, he has an enormous amount of energy, making him the perfect play mate for your pup!

my dog had a lot of fun and went on adventures - came back tired and happy.
Ryan is clearly a dog-lover and took great care of my little guy. He even sent me pictures so I could see how he was doing, and to help me not miss him so much. Will definitely be back.
Keep me updated and dealt with my pup being a brat. Lots of pictures which was great to see even though she was being stubborn and not wanting to walk with Ryan. I blame where I live though, not Ryan. Bae hasn't been a fan of this area since day one of moving in. Thanks Ryan. I'm sure Bae will see you again soon
Ryan was awesome. He sent a lot of pictures and Gokuh had a great time. I will definitely use him again.
Ryan was great w my Siberian Husky, Ryder. He sent pics and was always communicating with me. I could tell my pup was having a great time! Definitely recommended!
Ryan went above and beyond to make sure our puppy had a good stay. He went hiking and on many walks. The next day he was worn out from all the playing he did. I could not be happier with our experience and will use him again next time we come to San Diego.
Thank you Ryan and Deena for taking such great care of Rivan. Ryan kept us updated by sending lots of photos and videos. No doubt Rivan had a blast playing and going on hikes. We definitely recommend Ryan and will be booking again in the future.
Ryan was great with my Lucy. She seemed comfortable and enjoyed her stay. The location was very convenient and I loved getting all the photos from Ryan. We'll definitely choose to go there again.
Zoey had a blast at Ryan's house! Ryan checked in with me and sent me pictures while he was dog sitting. Which was great! I would definitely recommend him if you need a sitter for your pup!
Ryan was awesome and I would recommend him to anyone!!! He was very quick to respond and made sure to answer any questions and concerns I had. I could tell my dog was happy and extremely well taken care of. Throughout my pups vacay I received a ton of pics and updates which is very important to me since I can be a little weary about leaving my little guy. Thank you again Ryan for the great care and love you showed Tyson! You'll definitely be seeing us again!!!
Great care with real time photos of my dog. Thanks!!
Ryan has been beyond awesome! I was a little nervous about hiring my first dog walker, but Ryan put my mind at rest pretty immediately. He sends me pictures and updates during the walk, and that really helped build trust (you know when he gets there and when he's leaving). Plus, it always looked like my dog was having an awesome time. Ryan's extremely patient with my excitable lab/golden retriever puppy, he runs with her when she has more energy than normal (which is awesome), and he's even cleaned up after her accidents at home (she gets a little excited when he shows up). When I get home from work, my normally-crazy dog is completely calm and sweet after a walk with Ryan. You can tell she's had the exercise and interaction that she needs while I'm away at work. Don't hesitate to hire Ryan to watch or walk your pup!
