About Rori

24 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
I believe in giving your pet a loving, caring place to stay while you are away. From the age of about 10, I've had dogs (mostly large ones) like German Shepherds, Golden Retrievers and my most recent beloved yellow Labrador. I have cared for my friends pets when they were away on vacation at their houses or in mine. I can accommodate your requests for special food/diets and medication if necessary. A typical day at my home is giving my visitor/pet his or her breakfast followed by a walk and/or playtime in the garden. I work part-time so I'm usually home and if working, I'm usually gone for about 5-7 hours at most, and when I return I give your pet dinner and we play with a ball or some doggie toys. A pet is part of the family although I do not believe in giving treats from the table. Lots of petting and attention is important too. And of course, a comfy bed to sleep on. My house is tiled with carpets in the bedrooms. My most recent little visitor, a German schnauzer loved her daily walks and was quite sad to leave after nearly 4 months with me.

Rohays' compassionate, kind, and caring personality is reflected in the manner in which she treated my dog, Sonny, a cute, but very medically challenged border terrier. Despite the fact that Sonny needed lots of attention, Rohays agreed to take care of Sonny while we were away. Sonny's medical problems stemmed from a severe allergic reaction to flea bites as well as other allergies that plagued him constantly. He had to be administered special shots, his dry skin bathed regularly, and his food prepared in a certain manner so that he would eat. Rohays, lovingly took care of Sonny. When we returned, to our surprise, Sonny was in better shape than when we left him! Rohays' doggie knowledge and attentive disposition made all the difference in the world to our Sonny boy. Thank you Rohays!

I can't believe how lucky our dogs were to have stayed with Rory and Matt. I was nervous about having our dogs stay at another person's house because we always had someone stay at our house when we went away.
Rory and her son were fabulous. They made sure to give my "kids" their vitamins, allowed them to sleep on their couches, which is what they're used to at home, and even provided toys for them to play with.
Rory sent pictures of our dogs, and they looked as though they were smiling.
The backyard was perfect for them to play, and because it was rather warm at the time, she kept the air on so they would be comfy.
When my husband and I came to pick them up, I noticed they were really happy and comfortable in their new home away from home.
I wouldn't hesitate to use her services again.

Rori provided a wonderful home away from home for Freddie and Ginger, they came back happy and excited. She provided picture updates of the pups throughout the vacay, and my pups were clearly laid back the whole time. When it came time to pick the dogs up, she was flexible with us on time (we hit terrible traffic) and had everything for the pups cleaned, packed, and ready to go. Her prices were extremely reasonable and I would absolutely use her services again.

I highly recommend Rohay when looking for a nurturing, kind and thoughtful caregiver when leaving your pup. This was my first time leaving Frenchie with a sitter and I truly appreciate the type of environment, care and kindness that she shared with Frenchie while I was away. From the meet and greet it is clear that she loves animals, is warm and welcoming in inviting others into her home. In addition, Frenchie loved her backyard! I will most definitely be seeking her out for Frenchie to visit again in the future.
