We live in a single-family home in a neighborhood near East Falls Church, with plenty of dog parks and walking/running trails nearby. We have a fully-fenced yard for playtime, and will make sure your dog gets plenty of exercise and attention. My husband and I understand the deep bond between man and his best friend, and we will strive to fulfill that void for your dog while you are away. We are happy to send photos and/or videos of your dog at play so you can check in on their vacation while you are busy. We have been hosting dogs in our home for over ten years, and have experience with a wide variety of breeds, ages, and various special needs. We recently reactivated our profile after taking time off to have two small (human) children. For the safety and comfort of your pet, we kindly request a meet-and-greet for all new clients to ensure they are comfortable with sharing a house with small kids, ages 7 and 5.

Melissa and her family took great care of our two dogs, Lucas and Tucker, while we were out of the country for two weeks. Knowing that our guys were in great hands gave us tremendous peace of mind while we were far away. She kept in touch regularly and sent lots of pictures. A plus for us was that our two dogs were able to be part of her family’s routine…which made for an easy transition for them. They were surrounded by a caring family that gave them a lot of attention. I appreciated Melissa’s attention to detail (e.g., our senior dog needs daily medication, etc) and commitment to only taking 1 client at a time. I would highly recommend Melissa and we will definitely reach out again when we need future sitting services.
This was my first time using a pet sitter through Rover. Melissa and her family entertained my spunky little dog for 3 nights, allowing me to enjoy an early holiday trip. She sent photos each day of the dog being walked in the neighborhood plus a video of her racing around their fenced yard. Unlike when my dog previously stayed at boarding facilities, there was no adjustment period when she came back home. I will reach out to Melissa the next time I need pet sitting services.
Melissa took awesome care of our 14 yr old dog. She sent daily updates and pictures - and went out of her to make Maggie (who was a bit anxious) feel at home.
Melissa and her family did a wonderful job taking care of our boys and sent regular updates throughout the day. We would recommend them without hesitation!
