I'm a graduate student at Northwestern University with a love for all dogs. I adopted my dog, Dakota 4 years ago and have been dogsitting through DogVacay for 2 years. I'm happy to accommodate breeds from large to small. My apartment is a large one bedroom so there is no shortage of space and your dog can expect lots of affection and play time :)
Dakota, is a total sweet heart. She's not territorial or aggressive at all and is largely indifferent to other dogs. We've never met a dog on a meet-and-greet nor had a doggie guest that she hasn't gotten along with.
I do live alone so it's worth mentioning that my normal M-F routine is a short walk in the morning (8am-ish), then I am usually at work from 9-5. In the evenings, I like to take a long walk after work, and a short walk before bed. I'm very close to the lakefront so Dakota and I go for a walk on the beach/park almost every evening.
My schedule is enough to keep my husky happy but I know that some dogs might need more supervision during the days so let me know if this is the case for your dog. My work is flexible so I can work from home if need be but might ask for a slightly higher rate if you require it.
