About Kate

I am a Pediatric Nurse trying to save up for Veterinary school. I love all animals and have many years experience volunteering and working in shelters and with petsitting companies. My friends call me "the animal whisperer" because if I see something 4-legged or furry I usually stop talking to them and chase after it :) My apartment is warm and cozy and I have no rules about animals on the furniture here! I am a born-caregiver and would love to put you at ease knowing your best buddy is in good hands with a CPR-trained and dedicated fur-ever friend!

I am extremely happy with the service Kate provided. I have 3 high maintenance dogs with their own specific behavioral needs (Sep Anx, leash reactivity, and noise phobia) and so needed someone very experienced who could follow explicit instructions such as: they can't be alone for more than 8 hours and need to be walked separately on special leashes and harnesses. During the meet and greet my old boy, Tam, started licking Kate's face; which he never does to anyone besides me! While we were away Kate sent me photos, responded quickly to any texts, and made me feel completely at ease. I will definitely be booking with her again and highly recommend her for in home pet sitting.
Kate was a last minute lifesaver to take care of our beloved pup, Strela! Our pup can be a bit of a handful and often takes a little while to warm up to new people. We often struggle with a lot of anxiety leaving her with dogsitters- and she has a fear-aggressive nature toward other dogs so boarding is out. Kate messaged us within an hour of our departure that Strela had settled in and they were snuggled up together already! She took wonderful care of her, taking her out for fetch in the yard and giving her the love and attention she adores. The best part is that we have found a new dogsitter for Strela and we can't wait to book our next time with Kate!
Kate was wonderful with my Jack Russell Terrier, who (regardless of senior status) is high energy and can be a handful. Because he has a sensitive stomach, he also requires a little extra attention for meals. Despite all of his quirks though, Kate handled him with ease and sent regular texts/photos giving me peace of mind.
