Hi! We're Caterina and Nathan. I (Caterina) am a fourth year psychology PhD student and Nathan is an architect and we live in the Rittenhouse neighborhood of Philadelphia, PA. Nathan and I have spent the majority of lives as pet owners and hope to own our own pup sooner than later, though graduate school has not been cheap! Our apartment is perfect for dog-sitting or overnight boarding for a number of reasons. We are located adjacent to Rittenhouse Park (great for dogs!) and also only a few minutes walk away from the local dog park. In addition, our apartment has only hard wood floors and tile, so pet mess clean-up is fairly easy. Our apartment building also has a small outdoor area for quick potty trips (though both Nathan and I prefer longer walks with the dogs). As I am a doctoral student, my schedule is flexible and I am able to work from home most days. In addition to finishing my PhD, I am also a fitness instructor and like to be outside whenever possible! Your dog would be able to go on several walks a day and specifically longer walks that are sure to tire them out at the end of the day :) The dog park is also an option, granted it hasn't snowed recently. On the flip side, we both are more than ok with dogs who prefer to snuggle on the couch instead! Our schedules are both flexible and we are available on weekdays and weekends. Of note, our apartment has some stairs, so older dogs may have some difficulty ascending or descending floors. We also ask that your dog be tick and flea-free before they come to stay at our home!
