*House visits and Overnights in your home!*
Absolute animal lover *I also do Cats! :)* and affection enthusiast who would be delighted to spend time with your furry pals and keep them company while you are away. Because of some recent changes to the rules in my apartment complex, I can no longer take on pups as tenants, (I am beyond devastated), but I can absolutely make house visits and/or stay overnight in your home. In my experience, this tends to be best for the dog anyway. They have less separation anxiety, as they are in a familiar space, and aren't as nervous in another person's territory. :)
I know it can be difficult to entrust a stranger with your personal space, so please see my past reviews for reference and know that I am happy to do meet and greets to put you at ease. I'll honor your home and privacy as my own and put your dog's needs first.
*I'm open to discuss stays at my apartment, but this is on a strict case by case basis aka Hush Puppies only. I've gotten too many noise complaints and can't run the risk anymore of upsetting neighbors and, you know, getting evicted and all that. So sorry about that, as I love having furry faces to come home to.*
No different than humans, dogs deserve to be given as much comfort, familiarity and compassion as possible. I enjoy getting to know each dog's specific personality and work with their needs, energy levels, diets, etc. I will take your pooches on walks and hikes in order to keep them active and and allow them to get the most out of every day. :) After all, the earth's most loyal creatures deserve our loyalty, protection and love as well.
I've been walking and caring for my boss's dogs for almost 7 years and I am a dog owner myself. I have a great deal of affection and patience for animals and know how to create a calm and loving atmosphere.
Why I love dog sitting:
All my life! I had a gorgeous dalmatian named Scarlet when I was a kid, and it broke my heart when we lost her. I've been wanting a dog of my own for some time and am finally in a stable place where I was able to foster and adopt one! I have a sincere love of animals, and the loyalty and interaction with a loving dog is the best there is.
Comfortable, well sized apartment for one with bedroom, bath, kitchen, and living room. Plenty of space for dogs to lounge and play. Hard wood floors, which makes clean up after accidents much easier. Cozy and bright due to the large entry windows beside the mock fireplace.
About my yard:
Unfortunately, no back yard. The side streets of my neighborhood provide great exercise though and plenty of places to get some sunshine. I am also right down the street from Griffith Park and Baldwin Park and those are the locales I frequent with my own pup.
My experience administering medication:
Yes. My dog Axl needed to take a pill a day when I first got him, so I've become quite the master at it, and I also assisted in giving liquid meds to cats growing up.
