About Frank

40 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
Boarding for dogs weighing up to 25 pounds only. My name is Frank DeMarco and I have worked with dogs for over 35 years. I offer boarding for special needs or just plain special small dogs, Your dog will live in my home as one of my own. They get on the furniture, sleep on my bed, and play in my totally secure large backyard under my supervision. No extra charge to administer medications or to prepare special diets. We will strictly adhere to your instructions concerning your pets’ diet and care. If diet is not an issue, the treats we use are chicken breast that we bake ourselves and then dry. We also give pieces of carrots and apples,
I have trained for and served as Director of Training for North Shore Dog Training Club, the oldest AKC member Obedience Club in the nation. I also was the Director of Obedience for Argon Schutzhund Club, ran the obedience classes for the City of Skokie for over 15 years, and ran my own group and private obedience classes. I have been boarding dogs in my home for over 15 years. While I have retired from training I still love being around dogs so now i do boarding and get to play with new dogs plus my own.

A Meet & Greet is required prior to us accepting any new dog. I have a detailed questionnaire that owners fill-in before the dog's first stay. Besides owner info and medical info on the dog it asks questions about your dog’s preferences and behavior.

Kallie loved her "vacay". She came back such a tired pup from playing all weekend. We felt very comfortable with Frank and Elaine and are so thankful to find a wonderful home close to us.
Frank was great. I traveled 450 miles just to see a Cubs game (9/16/16!), and the first stop in Chicago was Frank's to leave my Josie for the day. Josie and I have mutual emotional attachment issues--we are pretty much together all the time, thick as thieves. But that day we had to part, and thanks to Frank we did with ease. I had a great time at the ballgame, Josie had a fine time at Frank's. Being able to make such an arrangement with all the necessary flexibility -- Thank You!

Frank is very knowledgeable when it comes to dogs of all sizes and ages. He was very accommodating with our elderly Beagle and provided a comfortable home for him while we were out of town. We don't worry at all about his safety or well-being when Frank is watching him.

Frank is seriously the best. He times time getting to know your dog and their needs. Always flexible, reliable and well educated in dog training.
Frank and his pack have been more than great with Jack. Jack has anxiety issues and takes medication-Frank was more than capable to work with Jack's needs. Nothing is better than knowing my pup is in good hands
Frank always takes wonderful care of Lily!
Frank is very good with dogs. He seems to like them a lot and knows a ton about them.
My dog was a happy guy with Frank, who understands and is delighted by all types of dogs.
Frank was a fantastic fit for my dog. My dog has anxiety issues which Frank was comfortable working with and did a great job addressing. Frank even followed up with me a day after returning to check that my dog was acclimating back to his regular routine.

Frank is so great with dogs and feel really safe leaving our Maya!
Frank was very friendly and took great care of my dog! Dexter loved playing in the big yard as well as the other dogs. I highly recommend him!
I have a rescue dog and she gets anxious and scared when I leave her in a new place. Frank and his wife took special care of Lily and made sure she was safe and got what she needed. I would highly recommend Frank for overnight boarding.
Frank is a dog pro, through and through.during our meet n greet, every dog in the room hung on his every word and gesture. In addition, his house is completely set up for dogs and dog security. I've never seen a better set up. I would recommend him to anyone. I have a tiny 3lb. Dog, and never worried about her safety for a moment. Frank is a real pro
