I've owned, rescued and trained dogs for over 30 years. I love getting a rescue dog because it provides an opportunity to really turn a dog's life around, especially if they were abused. I've a variety of dogs, from an Italian Greyhound named Bambino to my current Great Dane mix named Nick. I love dogs and having traveled frequently for work, I know how hard it is to find someone or a facility that I could trust to care for my dogs as much as I do. Dogs that stay with me will have access to .5 acres of a backyard to run around and play along with 3 walking sessions (one in the morning, one late afternoon, one in the evening before bed). My dog Nick is playful so you do not need to worry about your dog being bored, Nick is happy to share his toys and loves to get chased in the yard. I make my own treats using peanut butter, applesauce and oats that I shape into dog bones. It's Nick's favorite reward after walks. I have cameras inside my house so I can keep an eye on the dogs if I need to step out to run an errand or go to the office but most of the time I work from home. My neighbors are amazed at how well behaved Nick is, being able to have him in front of the house without a leash and that he never barks unless you ring the doorbell.
