About Renée

11 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
Hello and thanks for checking us out!
We just got started on here and booked our first guest in December of 2016, but rest assured we have many years of unpaid dog care experience :)

I am a serious dog lover who works from home and would love to care for your fur babies. Your pet will come to an environment where no harsh chemicals are used, in fact all of our cleaning products are environmentally friendly to pets, humans and the earth.

I have many years of experience dog sitting for my friends and boyfriend, for up to a month at a time, when they've gone on extended vacations. Dogs are allowed everywhere in my home and small-medium dogs are allowed to sleep on my bed with me. My boyfriend's retriever Rusty is like a ninja and when I'm there, he somehow sneaks on to the bed without waking me, so Rusty is allowed on the bed by default I guess. Haha!

Bella and I spend most weekends and holidays at my boyfriend's home which has a large securely gated yard and two fur babies (the golden mix Rusty, and Corgi mix Atim, *see my profile pics). Rick is also a huge dog-lover and has taught me a great deal about dog behaviour and training. A meet and greet with him and his two dogs would be ideal if yours is going to be with us on holidays and/or weekends. Rusty and Bella get along with pretty much everyone and Atim, is a typical Corgi, who is crabby with new people and animals at first, and then is the cuddliest sweet girl soon after.

Your dog/s will hardly know you're away when with me/us because they become part of our pack. I will talk to them just like I still do with Bella, even though she's deaf now. They will get lots of belly rubs and ear scratches, positive encouragement, and never a hurtful tone or hand! I will follow your food regimes with them and don't worry, I don't feed any dog unhealthy people food. I am experienced with administering medications, and also caring for post-operative and senior pet needs.

Regular walks to Whyte Mud Park; Terwillegar; or the river valley are part of our routine because its fun and tired pups are happy pups I like to say! I/we are flexible and will strive to meet the individual exercise needs of all dogs that come stay, as we know this can vary greatly.

**Please note that I will need to send you a custom quote if you are wanting check-in visits that are a) longer than 30 minutes ($20), as one hour visits are ($30) and/or b) are with a puppy, I add $5 to the visits with puppies ($25/$35). As much as I LOVE the little pups, they require a much more focused kind of time with me, which usually involves constant distraction with toys so they don't shred my skin with their razor-blade teeth! hahah! "Bernie" the little Bernese and "Olaf" the Alaskan Eskimo pup, featured in my profile pics, are a case and point example of this! lol

I must forewarn you that your dogs will actually fall in love with us all and may want future playdates! We have heard this from recent guest owners whose dogs went home and missed us all terribly, so we are arranging playdates to keep everyone happy :) "There is nothing so sincere as the wag of a dog's tail" ~author unknown.

I look forward to meeting you and your furry friends to discuss how I can take care of your pet/s.

Please check out my profile photos to see pics of some furry friends that our pack have spent time with! :)

Renée (and Rick who is the best dog-recreationist EVER!)

Renee is simply amazing with Dogs. I have two dogs and Renee has looked after both of them and they just love her!

Renee is attentive and very focused on my dogs overall well being. She has helped me to be more attentive with the dogs as has given me tips on grooming, nutrition, and medical needs when necessary. On more then once occasion she has brought forward observation such as," your dogs nails are long, perhaps you should get them cut, your dog has burrs in its tail, that might need to be removed by a groomer, perhaps your dogs might benefit form nutritional supplements." I have often replied ,"Oh their fine," as I am very active with my dogs but often over look the detail stuff dogs require. Her observations have always been right on the money. I should mention that she makes these observation with the best of intentions, and has always been very complimentary of the care I provide for the dogs, never judging me, to the contrary she has always made me feel that I am a great dog owner.

Any ability I may have to care for my dogs, is definitely because of Renee's influence on my dog care routine, and on the love and attention she has given to my dogs. Anyone would be extremely fortunate to have Renee look after their dogs!

Renee has babysat my dog and she is now the one person who is not family that she(my dog) cries with joy when she sees. Renee is loving, kind, takes great care and has a deep love for all animals. She is always my first choice if I need a pet sitter. I highly recommend her to anyone who wants their pet to get the love, attention and excellent care they deserve.

Renee is absolutely the best! I was away for a whole month of December and Renee took care of my pup Whisky. She really went above and beyond! Not only did she feed Whisky exactly according to my instructions, but she also gave him his meds on time impeccably. She spent a lot of time with him, playing with him and showing him love so that he wouldn't feel lonely. Renee really shows that she cares! She even asked if I wanted her to do anything else for me. Just love her!!! Her love of animals is simply unsurpassed. Now, every time I go away, she is the first person I call! Hire her today! You will not be disappointed!!

Renee has done a great job coming in and looking after my 10-week old puppy in the middle of the day. I am new to using any kind of service for my pets and DogVacay was recommended to me. So far I am very pleased with the service.
Renee was very lovely and caring with Rio. She took him for a week. He was very happy with her and with Bella, Rusty and Atim. It was the first and good experience for Rio, to stayed and shared with Renee's family.

Renee observed the comportment of Rio, and frequently, she sent me information from him or she asked me about Rio's health or habits. I really appreciate that because was a good feedback.

We are really happy with Renee hospitality.
