Regardless of where your pets need to be cared for they will be kept safe, well loved, and given attention that a kennel would never be able to give. About this sitter: I was an Animal services officer in Orange county Florida and worked in humane law enforcement in Washington DC with an extensive background in animal care. I worked as a veterinarians tech for 6 years prior to working as an animal services officer. I am willing to stay in home or come by daily if needed.I am able to travel to all of Seminole, Orange County, and surrounding areas. I am also able to handle special needs animals as well as other pets, cats, fish, reptiles, etc. Licensed and insured driver so no worries about missing the bus to get to your home! I have cumulatively over 10 years of animal care and welfare experience with 7+ of those years dedicated specifically to the animal medical and care fields. I am able to handle large, aggressive, as well as special needs pets as well as puppies and young/in training dogs. I am able to conform to your training preferences and follow schedules very well. Why I love dog sitting Cinder my golden retriever was born only a day before and me and since that day there has always been a pup by my side. Since then we've had retrievers, German shepherds, greyhounds, a corgi, and all with their own little quirks but all loved deeply be me and my family! My experience with dogs does not end their either. As soon as I was able to start working I began working in a veterinary hospital as a kennel technician. From there I grew interested in the medicine side of the business and transitioned into a veterinary technician. I moved to a clinic that specialized in orthopedics and from there migrated into Animal Services. I know work as a Humane Law Enforcement officer specializing in animal cruelty, neglect, and other crimes to animals. Meet my pets We have quite a little family of our own but luckily they are all happy to make new friends. Brinkley my 8 year old greyhound is the most docile pup in the world and loves new company. My corgi Penny is the young one but loves to make friends, play, relax. We live in a very dog friendly area with lots of neighboring pet owners and dog lovers. My experience administering medication Very. My years as a veterinary technician as well as my career in the animal services has taught me to administer almost any type of medication. Giving subcutaneous fluids is a breeze and giving a pill is no trouble at all.

Nick was fantastic! I had a last minute change that required him to stay at my house instead of just stopping by and he made sure shadow and bandit were taken care of and sent me pictures every day. Would recommend him anytime.

We felt comfortable leaving our pup in Nick's capable hands. We knew our pup would be comfortable staying in our own home. Nick sent us updates each day and we came home to happy little pup. We plan to use him again! -K

Nick's experience in working with all kinds of dogs - large, small, timid, extroverted - really shines through. Even my more timid dog warmed up to him right away and ended up snuggling with him on a rainy day. He does an excellent job of caring for their physical and emotional well being. I will definitely book with him again when I need to be out of town.

Information Nick L. would like to know about your pet

My home is open to all breeds of dog and there shouldn't be a problem with any. My only request would to please inform me of any medical conditions, feeding times, or aggression issues that may be present. Once they are known I have no doubt it can easily be maintained. Our goal is to ensure your pet is as comfortable as possible when they stay in our home. Bring them a blanket or toy and always something that smells like home. Also any key words that have been trained as triggers can be a great help.

A typical day

Here's where we'll take our walks We live in an incredibly dog friendly complex. A large gated community houses 3 towers all of which seem to be full of dog lovers. Our building is in the back giving us 1 long stretch of dog walk that borders Cameron run as well as 2 large yards on both sides of the building. Not only that but if you have an active dog we do like to sneak out to the fenced in sand volleyball court occasionally and take a run. Your dog's sleeping arrangement Your choice! All of our dogs are crate trained and have learned to make them their own little beds every night. If yours is a couch potato we have no problem with that as well as are fine with someone in our room with us if they need a little special care. No dog will ever be put in the garage, enclosed in a space like a bathroom or outside. Time I'll spend with your dog I do work a full time job but luckily your dog will never be lacking for company. With 2 dogs in the house your pup can be the center of attention or curl up on the couch/bed and relax. If I happen to be away for a while your little one is also in luck as my wife has just as much love and compassion for pets as I do and ensures they receive plenty of attention! Make sure to tell me what your schedule is however as I can do everything I can to make your dog feel like they never left home. Regardless of all of that however we ensure that every pet gets at least 3 walks a day and more if needed. Time I'll spend with your dog The goal for me is to do my best to make sure your dogs notice as little of a change as possible while your gone. I do have my owns dogs but luckily my job allows me incredible flexibility with where I spend my time when off so I can dedicate as much of my time as possible to your pets comfort. Extra house-sitting services Leaving your pet behind is stressful enough, you shouldn't have to worry about the rest of the house as well. When staying over I routinely perform walk throughs and check windows/locks and gates. Making sure that not only has your pups not gotten themselves into any trouble while alone but the home is also continually secure and safe. Also ok with checking mail, taking out trash, etc.
