We are experienced pet owners who take a loving and compassionate approach to pet care. We sympathize with the worries, and concerns that arise with having to board, that's why we're dedicated to treating your pet with the same love, attention, and care that we give to our own pups. We have extensive experience with caring for both dogs, and cats. You can rest assure that your pet will be taken care of by a trustworthy pet veteran!
A typical stay for your pup would include lots of fun, exercise and outdoor activities mixed with lazy snuggling down time. Your pup is guaranteed to get a minimum of two daily strolls throughout the lovely tree lined grassy streets in our Westside neighborhood. Evenings are generally the time when our pet guests are snuggled in between us on the couch getting lots of head, and belly rubs, or engaged in playing with their toys, and each other.
Thanks so much for considering us with the very important responsibility of caring for your pet. We look forward to playing, and snuggling with them!

Regarding Escape Artists
If you have a dog that consistently gets out of securley fenced areas please DO NOT attempt to board them at our home. Dogs are living and breathing creature with minds of their own. If they are determined to get out of a confined area, they will find a way or hurt themselves trying. Thank you
It is healthier for a dog to consume the same food as it does at home. For this reason, the owners are responsible for providing food for the duration of the pets stay.
How do you introduce my dog to other dogs in a playgroup safely?
When you drop your dog off, we will put him/her in a quite area until you leave and everyone has a chance to settle down and your dog gets use to his surroundings. Then we will let him/her meet their new friends.
What if my dog doesn’t get along with the other dogs?
Each dog will be evaluated by us the first visit. Only dogs that are non aggressive towards other dogs will be allowed in playgroups.
What if my dog is a fence jumper?
At this time we do not board dogs that will climb or jump a 6’ fence.
Do dogs ever get into a fight?
No We only accept well socialized dogs.
Why is it when I pick up my dog, he is separate from other dogs? Does this mean he’s been bad?
Managing dogs in large groups can be tricky. When someone pulls in, all the dogs get very excited and sometimes bossy with other dogs. So when we know you are coming we take your dog out of the play group so that we don’t have to upset everyone by going in and getting your dog out of the crowd. It also gives your dog a chance to unwind before you come.
Are there any extra charges for playtime or dispensing of medication or special diets?
No, there are no extra charges for playtime/medications/or special diets. The boarding rate in all-inclusive.
Are you open year round?
Is there a maximum amount of time you can watch a pet?
I can watch your pet(s) as long as you need me for.
What do I need to bring when I drop off my pet?
Just your pet, dog food is all you need to bring unless you want to bring something special your pet needs.
Where will my dog sleep?
All dogs sleep in the home on a cozy dog bed or even on the couch if they choose. If they need to go in a crate at night that is ok to.
Will my dog be left alone?
No I am here all day with them.
Do you walk the dogs?
As long as they are leashed trained yes.
Do you board for more than one client?
"My dog can be very nervous and he has separation anxiety when we leave him. Leaving him with April has been easy on him and on me. He is comfortable going there which lets me know he is well taken care of. He gets lots of exercise and is worn out when I come to pick him up". Starla K.
"April was easy to work with, and Wulfie was obviously well cared for while with her. I would definitely recommend her".
"April, Just wanted to let you know how comforting it is to know that Buster has an incredible "Home away from Home". It makes all of the business travel that I do a little easier knowing that he's in such caring hands. THANK YOU! Give him a pat for me".
