About Chrissy

10 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
Hello everyone and thank you for visitng my page! My names Christina and i am a dog sitter located in Rego Park and Forest Hills. I have experience with dogs all of my life and have dealt with both big and small breeds. I also have owned a Lakeland Terrier and German Shepherd in my life so i am no stranger to caring for dogs. Ive dealt with dogs with aggressive behavior/ possessive behavior as well as hyper dogs. I offer affordable dogsitting services because i dont think that a more expensive sitting service is necessarily better from my experience with dog boarding. I truly love animals. If you decide you would like me to watch your dog, your dog will be supervised 24/7, walked, played with and heck, he or she can sleep on the couch or wherever they choose! I will even update you with pictures to keep ones mind at ease. I have a pretty large space and my place is very clean. There will be absolutely nothing for your dog to accidently pick up and swallow. I also have no pets at the moment so you can guarantee your pet will be out of harms way.

About me, i was recently teaching English in Japan for 2 years and just came back and moved to Rego Park.I have an apt that has a lot of space since i am a minimalist. I am originally from New york and i am certainly glad to be back! I am currently not working right now so i can give your dog all the care and attention he/she deserves. My hobbies include knitting, exercising, writing poetry, and traveling abroad.

Thank you so much for reading! If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email me and i will accommodate to your dog`s needs.

UPDATE

.The dog boarding fee includes cleaning up accidents, Providing a clean dog bed, dry food if not provided by owner, 1 bully stick, toys, 3 walks everyday, treats if allowed by owner, and a spacious apartment with around the clock supervision. I am a very active person who loves going for walks and staying fit so plently of walks is no biggie for me!:)

I usually light a lavender scented candles to calm the air. This makes the environment very soothing for them and relaxes the nerves.

I also enjoy playing tranquil music on my laptop, especially when I have to step out for a minute. Usually when I do this, they usually fall asleep quite sound .

If your dog came wearing a jacket or came with a blanket, I usually launder these items after their stay.

****ABOUT YOUR STAY****

Dogboarding- please state pick up and drop off times.

If your pup has any bladder problems, please bring dog diapers if possible. Another idea that is more cost efficient than dog diapers is to buy human diapers and cut a hole for the tail. It works for both males and females. WEE WEE pads are supplied.

** I am currently back and accepting reservations for the holidays so you can be with your family AND receive updates on your loved one!(woof woof!)

PROS:

I have no children so you don't have to worry about your loved one injuring someone

I have no pets of my own so you don't have to worry about your loved one clashing with another pup. I am also able to watch a pet singularly if requested which means I am able to block out the calendar and cater to your pets needs.

I do not overbook

There is literally 24 hour supervision.

They are not crated and I do not own any crates. They are only crated at the owners request.

I also do accept large size pups but there is an additional fee. Please feel free to ask.

Thank you

I really wanted to like Chrissy because she was nearby and has some repeat clients. However, I cannot recommend because she did a lot of sketchy things, failed to update me often, and returned my dog sick. I'm going to be specific about each thing I mentioned. First, I think she is sketchy because in her profile she mentions she does not have kids or dogs. I have an aggresive dog and I was up front about it with her. When I dropped off my dog, she told me she was sitting a puppy, and I saw she had a small child with her. She told me she would keep my dog in another room. I was beyond livid, but I had a flight to catch, and I hate leaving my dog in kennels. The child seemed ok with dogs though. Eventually she gives me an update where she tells me my dog actually got along with the puppy. Several things are awful about this. She put that puppy at risk, even after she assured me she would keep them separate. Also, the update had a picture where my dog is sleeping with her prong collar on. I let her know that was dangerous, and she corrects it. Chrissy also only contacted me to let me know that my dog had "accidents" in the apartment, or that she was not eating. She told me she was adding cooked beef to my dogs food to get her to eat because she ran out of wet food, so I commend her for trying. When she told me my doggy was sick I wanted to pick her up ASAP, so I wanted to pick her up at 10:30 pm. This was too inconvenient for Chrissy, who told me she is in bed by 9pm. I can und

This was our first experience using Dog Vacay and Christina. Christina is very friendly and you can tell she loves dogs. We were very pleased with her care of our baby. We would use Christina again.
