My name is Rebecca. I live with my boyfriend, Alex. We have an awesome rescue dog named Spike. He brings us lots of laughter and love. We enjoy taking him around the neighborhood or around the lake. We have a very tall, fully fenced in backyard that can be pad locked for extra security- if needed or desired, We have a bunch of toys to play with, but I also understand that some dogs can be possessive/aggressive over toys, so sometimes we put the toys away if they cant play nice together :) We live a few blocks from Lake Calhoun and Lake Harriet and we love exploring all the areas in between, stopping at Clancy's Meat market where the owner will give my pups a doggy treat. I am not a professional dog trainer, but I have worked wonders on a few dogs, including my own (Spike was not trained at all when I began fostering him-he was really naughty!) Spike can now do many tricks, and I have even trained him to run on the treadmill! He loves it!
I am able to help dogs get over many sorts of behavioral and emotional issues. My boyfriend and I love dogs and all animals in general. We would treat your pet as if it were our own; that's the only way I know how. I also have lots of experience with older dogs with health issues. The only restriction we really have is that Spike does not do well with cats at all:( He was like that since he was rescued, for unknown reasons. This is somewhat negotiable, because Spike spends a lot of time with grandma and grandpa in Golden Valley. He can usually go hangout with them to accommodate your cat or dog for whatever reason if you are in great need.
Thank you! And have you given your dog/cat a great big hug today? :)
