My name is Nicole and I am a young professional working in Research and Development for a Nutritionals company here in Salt Lake City. I own my own home and have two wonderful roommates who are dog lovers just like me. I grew up with a special needs dog and have a soft spot in my heart for pups who take some warming up to really feel comfortable around people or other pets.
Each Vacay Day would come with a morning or afternoon/evening walk around my neighborhood and the park nearby. My roommates, Ashton and Preston (shown in photos), will be assisting me on walks with larger groups. During the day, the pups would have free roam of the house and will get a potty break and outdoor play time about every 3 to 4 hours.
We have two wonderful rescue dogs. Ramen, a two-year old Jack Russel Terrier and Chihuahua mix, has been with me for one year now and is everybody's best friend. He adores playing with dogs of all sizes and is an equal opportunity snuggle buddy. Miko, a four-year old Shiba Inu, is Preston's dog of 2 years and is a bit more reserved with who she will play and snuggle with, but once she warms up to you she'll be your best friend.
My home is a one-story ranch-style from the 1950's up in a beautiful neighborhood in historic Rose Park. We have one room with carpet but the rest of the house is hard-wood floors or tile with a few rugs. Bedrooms would be closed off during the day but mine will be open once I am home to supervise. This is also where any sleepover pups will be staying at night. Caution! Ramen and I are both snugglers!
The main area of the home has two living rooms, one substantially larger than the other, and a large kitchen area. There are 3 couches in the house, all dog-friendly, as well as a large love-sac, which has quickly become a doggy favourite. The backyard is on the small side, but it is entirely fenced in and plenty big enough for all sizes of dogs to enjoy a good romp around in. The dogs would be allowed outside for an hour or more every day of supervised play.
I have experience giving pets injected and oral medication as well as working closely with pets suffering from separation anxiety. Senior pets are welcome in my home too, though the hardwood floors might be tough for them. Unfortunately at this time we cannot accommodate any dogs who have not been vaccinated or who are not house trained.
(Some of the photos I've uploaded are just what I have on my work computer from the renovation last month, I will update with better and more photos as soon as I can.)
