About Samantha

10 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
We provide boarding to dogs in our family home and treat them like part of the family. Your pup will be with our playful Lab Mix (just under 3 years old) and have lots of supervised joint play time. My son loves the dogs and throws ball, cuddles with and give lots of attention to pups visiting our home. We have a nice yard the dogs can hang out in in nice weather (while we are home) and we take them on two walks a day. I am at work for 8 hours each day. Depending on the dog, they may be crated or free in my home, or in a room by themselves while I'm away at work. We would love to host your pup in our home.

I've been a dog owner my whole life, have dealt with all sort of health issues, can provide oral meds and unconditional love. We take 2 walks, one in the morning and one in the evening. And whenever I'm home the dogs can go out into the yard as much as they want, usually playful dogs spend most of their time in the yard with my playful pup wrestling and playing.

I do not take dogs with aggression issues, I don't type breeds, but do not take dogs that have aggression issues. Dogs need to be old enough to wait 8 hours for a potty break while I'm at work, or be pee pad trained.

Finally for drop off and pick up, M-F drop off is from 6-8pm, as is pick up. On weekends, we can discuss times. I require drops offs to be at a time when I can spend a couple of hours with the dog to make sure my dog and any dogs boarding here get along well with your dog and that everyone is comfortable and accustomed before I leave them at home alone.

Samantha is a great dog owner and dog sitter! She has helped me patiently to take care of my scared Dottie mix for years and I am so grateful. I recommend her services and rely on them myself!

Samantha did a great job looking after my pet. She made sure to keep me current on his daily status.
Samantha, her son, and Lego (lab-mix family pet) were charming and eager to have Rosie at their home –our 4+ year old rescue that has been with us for two years. Given her breed is related to Huskies she is a flight risk -which I mentioned to Samantha…Rosie escaped once and thankfully she was quickly recouped by Samantha.
They all did o.k. for about nine days of my 12 day trip. I got pictures and videos every day.On day 10, there was a change in the environment as a new dog came into care. Rosie didn’t like the change, or maybe there was bad chemistry with the new dog, and she acted aggressively towards it. The DV guidelines require that the aggressive dog be separated from others. Rosie was kept in the basement for most of the remaining time to prevent any potential liability-except some play time with Lego -as the two got along well. Because Samantha’s yard has a low fence, Rosie could not be there without supervision. While in the basement, she chewed-out the plastic buckles of her "walking" harness, so she likely couldn’t be walked much after that. Samantha did a good job given the circumstances. Since I was overseas, I could not fetch her until my plane landed and we didn’t have a plan “B.” Rosie doesn’t like confinement and loves to be outside in the yard, so I can imagine those last three days must have been very uncomfortable for everyone, including growling/barking, & "humping legs." At pick-up she was healthy and well fed, but I could tell she was eager to leave.

Samantha was a wonderful sitter for my energetic labradoodle. She was responsive, shared updates regularly and by all accounts gave my dog a great home-like stay while I was away. It's so great to have someone I trust watch my dog. Her dog is friendly and a great playmate for mine. I've now used her sitter services three times and will continue to do so in the future.
