I was so nervous about leaving my (old) dog, who just lost her best friend, while we vacationed, we also had issues because Scout doesn't love other dogs and we have guinea pigs that need to be fed. I found Pearl online, she responded immediately, and we set up an meet. Pearl was great, Scout loved her at first sight, we loved her, and even though I originally planned to have drop-in visits, the fact that Pearl doesn't have dogs at home made it possible for Scout to stay at her house and Pearl was so flexible we were able to plan for her to check on the pigs as well. She even helped us out by bringing Scout home and getting her settled while we drove home. It's clear Scout was pampered and loved, and I feel so much better about planning vacations in the future since I know Scout has a new great friend. The cost is unbelievably affordable compared to having her kenneled, and she gets so much more attention and care. I would recommend Pearl to anyone, and especially to people whose dog would prefer to be an "only pet" while you are gone!

Without going into too much detail, Pearl was very nice, but ended up causing a traumatic experience through inexperience and unprofessionalism. If it wasn't for Rover.com being so helpful and reassuring and quick to resolve the terrible situation my puppy was in, I would have been very reluctant to try rover again.
