Sitter with lots of love to give.

Pet care experience

I am 28 years old currently studying Special Education at Illinois State University. I currently work part time with about 10 hours a week. With that being said, I knew that I needed to make some extra money while finishing up my schooling. I soon discovered that the best way to do that was to do something I have always been very passionate about, and that is caring for pets. I have always been an extreme pet lover and if it was my choice I would adopt so many furry babies (and my boyfriend would never approve :) )! Since this is not an option the next best thing is caring for someone else's pet when needed! I enjoy going for walks with dogs and also like to spend time at Bradley dog park! I like to spend as much time as possible outdoors being active. I have experience with my past Labrador having Diabetes which required shots to be administered. I live in my own home which has a large fenced in back yard. Over the past years I have cared for people's pets while they were on vacations and business trips which I have acquired great references. I promise to care for your loved ones while you are gone and ensure that they have a great stay while you are gone away! References and background check available upon request!

Rachael was awesome! I honestly think Buddy is now depressed because he isn't at her house having fun with her dogs. Looking forward to the next time we go away instead of dreading it like we always did when we had to kennel our dog. Glad to have found this site and sitter.

Information Rachael R. would like to know about your pet

I require that all pets be fully potty trained prior to their stay at my home. If they are not, I prefer that you supply a crate for them to be in over night. I also ask that you inform me if your pet is still in their chewing stage, so that I can be sure to "chew-proof" my home before the stay. Also, seeing as I have a very small dog of my own, I ask that if you are not 110% sure that your dog will get along great with small dogs that maybe reconsider if we are a great fit. If I feel that the stay may not be ideal, I will not accept the job. In the past I have had some experiences with other dogs biting my small dog, so that has made me become more strict on the pets that I can accept.

A typical day

I promise to provide excellent care for your dog while you are away. I enjoy walking on the Rock Island Trail and going for walks throughout my neighborhood. I have a large fenced in yard which makes it easy for going outside with the dogs and burning off some energy. Sleeping arrangements are up to you. I do not require dogs to be kenneled as long as they are house trained. Feel free to bring your own pets bedding if they are most comfortable with that. If your dog is used to sleeping in bed the we can accommodate that request :) If you prefer for your dog to be kenneled you can provide a kennel. I enjoy spending time outdoors so I like to find activities that I can include your pet in such as walks or playing fetch. I think it is very important to spend more time with the pet than just letting them out for bathroom breaks and feedings. When the owner is gone the pets miss them and I make it a priority to spend time with them to keep them occupied and happy!
