About Kassia

12 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
*Update January 2017: Pup ‘N Pals is looking to expand its daycare program and is only accepting new daycare clients 25 lbs and up (overnight dog boarding no longer offered) and repeat daycare guests at this time. We are still booking new small animal boarding guests. Thank you!*
Looking for a fun and safe place for your dog to spend the day while you are away? Look no further! Here at Pup ‘N Pals, we specialize in doggy daycare and strive to make each dog’s daycare experience as fulfilling and enriching as possible. Whether it is for a few hours while you run errands or for the whole day while you are at work, Pup ‘N Pals offers the perfect solution to leaving your pup at home where they can easily become bored, lonely or even destructive. At the end of the day, you go home with a tired and calm pup and your dog goes home happy and ready to relax. It is a win-win for both! After all, does it get any better for your best friend than hanging out with his or her pals all day, playing in a large, fenced-in yard and snoozing away on comfy beds and couches? If interested in booking, please scroll down to review our policies to make sure your pet is a good fit.
A typical day for our four-legged friends at Pup ‘N Pals is sure to keep them active. Drop-offs begin at 8:00 AM and continue until 10:00 AM, Monday through Friday. During this time, the dogs are introduced to each other and given the chance to settle in before play time. Once drop-offs and introductions have concluded, the dogs will begin their morning play session out in the yard where they can run, play with toys or socialize with other dogs. From there, the day follows a fairly structured but fun schedule including periods of outdoor/indoor playtime and periods of rest. We always provide ample potty-break opportunities since we do spend a lot of time outside but we also allow dogs plenty of time to sleep so they do not become overstimulated. For this reason, we ask that you do not schedule a pick-up/drop-off between the hours of 12:00 PM-2:00 PM since this is the time when many dogs will be fed lunch and resting, and pick-ups/drop-offs cause much excitement among the group. Pick-ups can begin at 4:00 PM and all dogs must be picked up by 6:00 PM or an additional $5 fee/per dog will be applied.
As daycare guests at Pup 'N Pals, you can be sure that your dog is receiving the utmost care and attention as I am an experienced pet owner myself, currently caring for three rabbits and a horse of my own. I have owned rabbits and other pets for the past twelve years and have been passionate about animals of all types for as long as I can remember. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from the University of New Hampshire and have worked and volunteered at many places, allowing me the opportunity to not only care for small animals, but also dogs, cats and farm animals. I am a former volunteer of the MSPCA Nevins Farm and the Greater Derry Humane Society where I worked with dogs, cats, horses, goats and chickens and I have worked as an assistant barn manager at a local barn where I helped care for boarded horses. I currently am a member of both the International Boarding and Pet Services Association and the Dog Gurus Community, two associations that focus on safe and fun off-leash play for dogs. I also worked as a pet sitter for A Pet’s Life for eight years and so am accustomed to caring for animals while owners are away.

We do offer small animal boarding as well (the little ones are kept completely separate from the dogs), so feel free to contact me for more information and rates. I hope you choose Pup ‘N Pals for your next pet care need and I look forward to meeting you and your pets!

Policies:

1.) For all new daycare guests, a Meet 'N Greet must be arranged prior to booking.

2.) For all new daycare guests, a trial must be scheduled before booking ongoing daycare.

3.) All dogs must be current on a flea & tick preventative.

4.) Written proof of a negative fecal test within the past 6 months is required before booking.

5.) All dogs must be current on the following vaccines: Rabies, Bordetella (Kennel Cough) and DHLPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Lepto, Parainfluenza and Parvo). A copy of your dog's vaccination records are required at the time of the Meet 'N Greet.

6.) All dogs must be friendly with other dogs and show no signs of aggression towards people. Dogs who exhibit resource guarding behaviors towards toys, food, people or other dogs cannot participate in daycare.

7.) All dogs must be spayed/neutered by 6 months of age.

8.) Puppies must be at least 3 months old before enrolling in daycare.

9.)The earliest allowed daycare drop-off is 8:00 AM and the latest allowed daycare pick-up is 6:00 PM Monday-Friday. If your dog must be picked up after 6:00 PM due to unforeseen circumstances, a $5 fee/dog will be applied to the daycare payment. Pick-ups/Drop-offs will not be scheduled from 12:00 PM-2:00 PM Monday-Friday as this allows time for the dogs to rest and eat lunch uninterrupted. Occasional daycare may be offered on weekends on a limited basis.

10.) For the safety of the dogs, all daycare clients must commit to daycare at least once a week to keep their pup's social skills sharp.

11.) Dogs should be provided with a harness and a fixed leash, in addition to their collar and identification tags. No retractable leashes please!

Thank you!

Duke loves going to Kassia's and we are so glad we found her. He loves to run and play with the other dogs and is fascinated by the rabbits. We know when he is there he is being cared for just like we do!
Magnolia always comes home tired and happy after a day of play.
Cooper had a great time and Kassia kept me updated during the day.
