At Pucchi Place we love to have fun! From sniffing new friends to chasing the ball in our FENCED IN YARD to cuddle time before bed, we love every minute of it! We believe in rewarding good behavior, and cuteness, with constant positive reinforcement. Treats and Love (belly rubs, ear scratches and compliments) are a regular occurrence. It’s not uncommon for us to get into a good game of indoor play where we practice our tricks – sit, stay, etc… and laugh at all the antics.
There are dog beds and toys in every room! Plenty to go around. Even the couches and beds are to be shared by humans and pups alike (although, we will enforce whatever home rules you prefer.) Bedtime is the time for everyone to relax and get some good rest from our day. No closed crates, everyone shares – dog beds, human beds and open crates for those who like to den.
When we’re Away:
Our resident pup, Luna, is crate trained, so when the adults are out of the house, she ‘dens-up’ and enjoy her private time and usually a nice nap. Most of our guests do the same. For new guests who have never stayed here before, we work to build up a trust of having full run of the house. We like to have a setup where they can chill out with toys and beds without disrupting the alarm – can’t leave these guys without any monitoring at all! The humans here, like most, work a regular job.
Staying in Touch:
It’s hard to be away from your pup – even for just one night. That’s why we think it's important to stay in touch and share with you the memories that we are making at the playhouse while you’re away. We’ll send you pictures and stories throughout your trip to ease your mind. And you can always reach us just to check-in too!

We want your pup to have as much attention as they deserve so we have a maximum of two guests at a time, and try to keep this to one “new” family at a time. In rare situations or short overlaps we may take more, but we avoid that whenever possible. We do not have breed or size restrictions, however, for safety reasons we cannot take pups with aggressive behavior. For that reason we require a no charge meet-and-greet at least 24hrs before your pup’s stay. Also, we must verify that your pup is up-to-date on all shots so please come to the meet and greet with your vet records. We do not charge to administer most medications.
Almost no pup enjoys bathtime, that's why we try to make it as fun as possible with lots of puppy massages and laughter and no rules against shaking off all that water.
We require that you provide your own food. Switching foods suddenly can upset your pups tummy.
Toys and Blankets:
Yes please! If your pup has a favorite toy or blanket that will remind them of home while you’re away, feel free to bring them along! Keep in mind that because this is an open house, they will probably be shared by the other guests.
