My Zuzu is a dog sitter reject. She's an incontinent senior Maltese with congestive heart failure, separation anxiety, fears children and other animals and nips and growls at them. A nearly toothless 4 lb. toy dog can't really hurt anyone, but I agree there are few places that can take her. Her emotional torture being left alone with strangers kills me.

Yukari and her husband were saviors. I'm new to the area and don't have friends or family to care for Zuzu, who is dependent on very precise and time-consuming medication that must be pulverized and administered orally three-four times a day and night.

Yukari is a vet tech and actually used a stethoscope to listen to her murmur and pulmonary edema to make sure she was OK. She took care to separate her from their dog, to cuddle her, and let her explore the safe neighborhood on leash. She sent a lot of pictures and videos which eased my anxiety to see Zuzu curious about her surroundings and snuggled on soft blankets.

She is very responsive to texts and email. Will use again and highly recommend.
We recently moved cross-country (New York to Texas), and Yukari was an amazing support during this time. We decided to fly Ginger to Texas rather than brave a 29-hour drive, and planned to leave Ginger with Yukari for a few days during our own travel south. In the end, the moving truck left early, which meant at the last minute Yukari took Ginger 3 days early - and then she had him for a full week before the animal transport company could come pick him up from her house. Not only did she send us daily updates and photos (SOOO important to my boys, who were experiencing their own stressful transition and missing their dog terribly), she also prepped Ginger for his long travel day to Texas. She followed the instructions provided by AirAnimal about weaning him off food, acclimatizing him to his new (GIANT) air crate, and making sure he was secure and comfortable during all the craziness. She even agreed to an earlier-than-usual pickup time so that AirAnimal could get him to his morning flight on time. 14 hours later, Ginger hopped out of the AirAnimal crate his usual happy self, looking none the worse for wear. I credit Yukari and her partner for supporting this outcome. Yukari is a wonderful caregiver and her home is a fabulous home away from home for anyone's family furbaby!
Great people, competent, conscientious. Yukari sent photos and text messages about how Sam was doing, which was very reassuring. We feel very confident in leaving Sam with Yukari and Matthew. They were also cery gracious and flexible in arranging a pickup time with us.
