Prof Trainer w Care for Your Pups

Pet care experience

26 years of experience First Aid & CPR Rover Protection Package Verified Background Check Rover 101 Prof Trainer w Care for Your Pups Dogs have been a vital part of my life for a very very long time. I’ve been involved with dog rescue (horses too!) and adoption for many years, and used my dog training expertise to help these frightened, tossed-away dogs gently reintegrate into environments where they would be cared for and loved for the rest of their lives. I coordinated with shelters to teach their shelter dogs what would be expected of them in a forever home. That helped tremendously in making the adoptions “stick”. And, if you have a recently adopted shelter dog, ask for a Custom Quote for training. Training while Staying with me: Making a difference in the lives of dogs and their people is my driving passion…That’s why it’s so important that I offer the option of training for your dog while they stay with me. To me, training for dogs while they stay with me, is one of the easiest and best ways to make a difference for dogs and their people! Sometimes the most annoying things dogs do, like jumping, barking excessively or pulling on a leash, are some of the easiest to fix. Training in Your Home: If you live locally, or you’ll be in the area for an extended period of time, I offer training tailored to your dog’s particular needs, and work toward having a well-behaved companion as part of your family. This training takes place in the familiar environment of your own home, at a time convenient to you. Custom packages available, please contact me with what your and your dog’s needs/wishes are. We’ll go from there. Senior Dogs: Senior dogs often have a difficult time in boarding situations. When they come here, though, they will absolutely love the comforts and care they will find....cozy, soft blankets and doggie beds. Toys and soft chewy things. Help to get up on the sofa, if they choose, and help to get back down. And all the extra sensitivities that Senior dogs may have will be cared for. Seniors have provided their people with unconditional love for many years, so they get that back here, just as they do at your home. What Beate would like to know about your dog: No breed preferences or exclusions. Breed does not necessarily determine the dog’s personality, temperament or behavior. Mostly, that’s a result of his environment, treatment and training, or lack of it. What I would like to know, is whether your dog has any fears, phobias or sensitivities. Is she afraid of thunder or loud noises? Big fluffy dogs? Don’t laugh. I had a guest dog who reacted whenever he saw a fluffy white dog. Really. So, is your dog reactive to anything, like the UPS truck, or people in caps, or some other thing? Is he sensitive to anything, such as being touched on certain parts of his body? Anything that you can think of, no matter how big or small, will help me provide the right care and environment that works best for her/him.

Beate took care of our dog Mel while we were staying in the area. We decided to take a cruise and were gone for a week. She did a meet and greet with us to make sure that our dog would do well with her dogs, as ours has leash aggression. Beate was awesome with her and taught us a few things during this time. During the time Mel was with Beate, we received pictures every day and updates. Mel was having some skin issues and Beate did a great job carrying for her and gave us a goody bag to take home and suggestions to help. We felt Mel received great love and care from Beate and very much enjoyed hanging our with Beate's dogs. We will for sure use Beate again when we are in the area needing a place for Mel to stay.

We are so glad we found Beate! I can’t imagine finding a better person for our pup. Beate is extremely knowlegable, even taught our dog new manners! He had a yard to run in, her dogs were great playmates, he had a loving home to hang in. We received lots of pics and videos while we were away so we felt no concern over his stay. When we picked up our pup he was very clean and happy!! I’ve had dogs for 40 years and had some bad experiences with Boarding, so I’m super happy we found such an awesome person!!!! Thanks Beate you’re awesome!!! We will only hire Beate now if possible.

Beate was great. She watched our dog for almost 2 weeks. She sent pictures of our dog every couple days and gave us an overview on how he was doing. We were very happy with his stay there.

A typical day

Currently, I have three marvelous rescue dogs who enjoy meeting and romping with our guest dogs. They also teach them some of the cool things they know, like which couch they can jump on, which door we go out to potty and which door we go out for walks. Both doors are exciting…but walks usually get the happiest wide doggie face grins! Dogs are great learners by watching how other dogs do stuff. How cool is that! I love teaching my dogs (and yours, if you choose) by way of playing games….we all learn better when we have fun doing what we’re doing. Some of the cool things we will do includes agility games, ball tossing and retrieving, hide n seek and more. Weather and crowds permitting, there are walks along the beach and chasing the waves and other cool stuff. I’ll keep your dog on his or her regular schedule of feeding, exercise and play. Your dog will thank you because she will be calmer and happier. That’s pure joy!
