I have had dogs all my adult life, from young puppy to senior, over 30 years of dog experience. I am retired as of 2017 and can attend to your dog continuously. Have a small privacy fenced backyard, well kept and landscaped, ranch house with few steps (2 steps to house, in front and back). Your dog must be UTD on bordatella, rabies, and flea and tick prevention, and get along with my 10 year old, 12 lb older girl-- she's a friendly/beta kind of dog. Prefer house-trained guests, without separation anxiety. I will leave your dog in a crate only for grocery trips or occasional short errands, otherwise I am with them 24 x 7.

This was the first time our dog was away from us while we went on a vacation. Hence we were a little worried but Vera was amazing and put us at ease. Her communication was excellent and our dog was very happy and well taken care off. He was a little sad at our house the evening after we picked him up since obviously he missed Vera and Gabby! Thank you for an amazing service!!

Vera was AMAZING!! She took great care of our pup while we were out of town, and she communicated with us daily and sent us pics as well. I would highly recommend her for any of your animal needs!

I prefer houseguests that are housetrained, and that get along with my older dog (12 pound longhaired chihuahua mix). I would like to know the background and history of the pet, how they normally react around strangers and other pets as well as any medical/dietary needs.
A typical day
I live one house away from a nature trail- if you want me to walk your dog I can do that. Otherwise they will have the run of my home and backyard.

Recently reactivated my Rover schedule after a few years hiatus caring for my geriatric dog. (He passed away in Nov 2019, and I adopted a new girl in Sep 2020- see Pets section) . I am currently retired, so have all day to look after, cuddle and walk your dog! I only leave for brief periods (less than 2 hours) a few times a week for gym, grocery, etc.
