Positively Loving Pet Services

Pet care experience

As the oldest of 6 and 20+ years as a pet owner, I am a natural caregiver and animal lover. Growing up in the country we had cats, dogs, and a few misc. pets adopted or rescued (of all ages). I have extensive training and behavior modification experience through these experiences as well as helping friends and family with their pets. In addition, I worked at a dog day care. My love for animals/ their quality of life is unparalleled. I had two cats for 12 years and have rescued two hounds in the past 10+ years. I have had extensive experience with most every dog breed (and their unique needs). I am the "go-to gal" when it comes to pets. Some have called me the (non-TV) "dog and cat whisperer", and the title is welcomed. I have an a 8yr old basset/lab mix who is mellow mannered and a great, tolerant role model. She loves nice dogs to play with around as much as possible! I have a soft spot for most every breed, especially the gentle giants and most of the wee ones. When using training and behavioral services (and in general), I use positive techniques to ensure the progression of positive behavior and trust; working directly with pet guardians to teach useful and successful techniques to use for the life of your family member/ pet as requested. Why I love dog sitting I have been a dog lover my entire life. I've never been in a house without one... or a few. Dogs make my life more fulfilled and helping them does so even more. I also love kitties too. I do not discriminate based on species. About my yard Well, we would be more interested in your yard/ neighborhood, but there are three dog parks we like in the area and many more around. I am a bit of a dog park connoisseur. My experience administering medication Oral medications are fine. I would request specific training for specialized medical needs.

Robyn did a wonderful job taking care of my dog. Robyn also has a dog of her own that is just a sweetheart and was so patient with my dog. It felt like my dog went on a vacation that he really enjoyed! I will be utilizing her and her dog's friendly service again!

Robyn's loving and attentive care are evident in the joyful pup who barely wants to "return home" at the end of vacation time at Robyn's sanctuary. She is the ultimate sitter, who goes out of her way to be sure everyone is happy and safe (can I say, thanks for the darling sweater to ensure warmth to a recently groomed dog?!) I highly recommend Robyn to any animal-lover who truly cherishes their pet - you'll be glad she is taking care of your 'best friend'!

Information Robyn F. would like to know about your pet

I need to know feeding amounts and times as well as "potty" schedules. If the dog is crated, the schedule and manner in which the owners use the crate. Behavioral issues/concerns are a must. I have no issue with helping adjust and improving most behaviors, however I need to ensure the safety of everyone. Medical needs and any "quirks" the dog might display are critical pieces of information. A variety of dogs would be evaluated on an individual basis Small breeds can be more difficult to manage, but exceptions can be made. Puppies are great; so are all other ages. A dog with decent manners (or one who needs a little help) are welcomed. Energetic, no problem. Potty training, no problem. Aggression would need to be evaluated in person before a visit would be appropriate, but is not out of the question.

A typical day

Walks, of course! Whether it be once or twice a day or a long run at the park, I always make sure dogs in my care get exercise. It is critical to their health and helps alleviate energy-related behaviors. Your dog's sleeping arrangement is completely up to you. Time I'll spend with your dog Most to at least 1/2 of the day. I will be working about 10-30 hours per week and have errands/ appointments (as we all do), but am naturally a homebody. I enjoy being at home or at the park with the dogs in my care. All dog specific rules can be adapted and implemented per your needs.
