About Brea

15 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
Welcome to Pooch Posse,

My home is a 3 bedroom house with a fully fenced, large backyard, that I live in with my husband and my 3 year old daughter (our future dog whisperer:). We also have our own private beach basically in our backyard & we have several hiking trails around us too.

As this is my full time job; I am with your pets 24/7. We have a Chevy Suburban & a Jetta Sportswagen that we transport the dogs to/from. We have three plush dog beds from Costco for our dogs and our guests to enjoy (but somehow they always end up sleeping in our bed) or you can bring their special bed to help them feel more at home.

We never have more than 3 dogs boarding with us at a time (our 2 dogs + 3 clients dogs). So your dog gets very individualized attention. Every dog that stays with Pooch Posse immediately feels right at home and is treated like one of the family. We have several chew toys & balls scattered throughout our house and toys for enjoying outdoors. We provide fresh Berkey filtered water on a constant basis. Water is so important in maintaining a healthy pet!

What makes me a special host is my passion and love for all animals especially dogs. I am Canine CPR/First Aide Certified and I have been through dog walking training. I have been a certified dog walker for the past 7 years. I have rescued, raised and trained dogs my whole life as well as taking training classes. I have also done several years of volunteer work for the SPCA & when I can't volunteer I donate.

8-9am - Breakfast, potty break (earlier if needed)
1230-130pm - 1 Hour Walk On or Off-leash Dog Park or Trail w/ snacks
530pm - Dinner, potty break
10pm - Block walk & bed time potty break
11:30 - Lights out, dog beds move into our bedroom on the floor next to our bed.

I take dogs on a case by case basis as I have 3 year old daughter to protect. I also have a 24 hour policy. Boarding is $33 per 24 hours. Anything over 24 hours is an additional fee.

For example: If you drop your pup companion off for a one night stay at 8am on a Friday, then your pick up time would be 8am on Saturday. If you want to pick up your dog Saturday at a later time (let's say 8pm, so an additional 12 hours would be an additional $20. This policy only applies to stays 2 nights or less.

**I also give discounted rates for extended stays.**

Thank you in advance for booking your reservation with Pooch Posse!! We look forward to meeting you and your sweet companion.

Brea and family were warm, charming, honestly down-to-earth. Brea dynamically answered questions about the activity level and interaction (or lack thereof) mood and eating behavior of my terrier (who is struggling with an injured left leg). Brea kept me updated with photos and texts while I was in a 2-day course. Brea's family dogs were wonderfully patient with me and my terrier. There could not have had a better match for Tuner's 2-day dogVacay. Most definitely Pawsome! We highly recommend this family!
Brea and her family were so welcoming and we were so thankful our two dogs Macadie and Oden could stay together with them over Christmas. I loved getting the pictures of my happy dogs during their stay. They seemed so comfortable that when I picked them up they were happy to see me, but wouldn't have been sad to stay a while longer. They don't act that way when I have border them at a kennel.
Brea and her family were amazing! I was super anxious about leaving my puppy for the first time, but after meeting Brea all my anxiety was gone. Her dogs were very well behaved and it was obvious that they were well cared for. Brea was very knowledgable and my puppy took to her immediately. When we returned to pick our puppy up she was clean and happy and Brea had even taught her how to walk on her leash. I would highly recommend Brea and I will definitely be using her again the next time I leave town.
We have two rescue dogs. One has several special needs, as she is a breeder dog from a puppy mill and the other, is just a very smart (too smart) labradoodle. The little puppy mill rescue usually costs more - for grooming, pet sitting, etc - she has many requirements and isn't always easy. Brea didn't even wince when I explained their different personalties. She consistently takes their peculiarities into account. Brea treats them like a part of the family and our labradoodle jumps out of our car and trots right up to their front door. That is saying quite a lot. We travel happily knowing that our dogs are in a safe, comforting and caring home!
Brea was awesome! From the minute I dropped off my pup, I knew that she would have a good stay. Her pups immediately warmed up to mine. During her stay, Brea sent us photos of our dogs on the beach and I can tell that they were having a good time. Picking up our pup was great too! I have a feeling she actually didn't want to leave. Brea and her family are great people and I would definitely recommend them to anyone.
Brea was very flexible in the booking process, took great care of Brillo, who is a bit cautious.

I felt that Brillo was taken care of very well, she got a good walk and had a quiet comfortable stay with Brea.

I would not hesitate to vacay my dog with Brea again. :-)

I was extremely pleased with my dog's stay with Brea G. from Pooch Posse.

Brea took great care of my dog Apollo. He came home happy & tired from all the playing & outside activity.

Brea is a wonderful host. She took lots of photos & kept in touch by text to let me know how Apollo was doing.

I would definitely leave Apollo with her again!
