I grew up with animals of all types - cats, lizards, an orphaned chicken who thought she was a dog - but it was the dogs who really stole my heart. I've lived with dogs of all sizes, from a huge Rottweiler with a heart of gold to a tiny Sheltie who protected my brother and I like we were his own. Growing up, I was always sitting and walking the neighborhood dogs. When I moved away from home (and had to leave my beloved family German shepherd), I started dog sitting more regularly and have been doing it ever since.
