About Kelli

I work from home and would love your pet to share my large 4000 square foot home. I live right around the corner from 2 dog parks (one for small dogs, one for large dogs) complete with a doggy obstacle course. I share my home with my husband, birds, a older kitty, and some very cute rabbits. My home has a large fenced in yard where your dog can run and play as well as large cozy crates if he prefers to hang out there.

Kelli was a perfect fit for my Paddy Dog. We were gone 30 days so it was important that I pick a good 'home' for my dog.

Kelli sent us videos and pictures and was always available to talk to us.

One day she even took Paddy to a fun doggy day care (at her expense) since she was going to be away from home.

Paddy will go to Kelli's home again when we go away.
I left my dog and cat in Kelli's care for 10 days and was assured they'd be given attention. Kelli said she'd send a ton of pics while we were away and that I wouldn't have to reply to all of them. After a day or 2 I didn't get any pics for 3 days. Any questions I asked I was given vague replies or none at all. Then I got a few pics. Something didn't feel right about things and as the vacation neared its end Kelli contacted me about pickup time and date. This is when things got uncomfortable, she would only give me small windows of time to pick my pets up and would not agree to most of the times I wanted to pick them up. Would just say, "no, sorry, that won't work." This was a little weird b/c she works at home and she knew well ahead of time what day I'd be there. Just the way the replies would come, something wasn't right. And the avoidance of answering a lot of questions. She eventually agreed I could pick her up the day after it was actually scheduled since they wouldn't be home til late the night before. I agreed but ended up getting home around 9pm the night of originally scheduled pickup so asked to pick my animals up since Kelli wasn't going to be home til late anyway. Kelli kept saying she was out so they couldn't be picked up. At this point I wasn't going to drop it and asked what time she would be home that night so I can pick my pets up. That's when the truth came out, she BOARDED my dog and left my cat home alone. Thats why she was giving me all the time restrictions on pickup. It was sunday and the boarder had very short hours for pickups on sundays! She said my dog was boarded b/c of an emergency but after more conversation she caught herself up in that lie, she had to work outside the home. I was livid bc of the simple fact that she LIED the whole time, and was NOT going to tell me she boarded my dog, AND she never asked me!! I asked if she was boarded at any other time and was told no, that was the only time my dog was boarded. I picked up my pets and before walking out the door noticed a big scab on my dogs head. She was injured while there and I was NEVER contacted! Kelli wasn't even going to tell me until I noticed and asked about it. She told me she took her to the vet & liquid sutures were applied to the wound, if it was that serious why would she contact me?!?!?! After I left I texted her and asked for the vet name and boarding facility name. The story then changed again to it was a friend thats a vet. So I asked what vet they worked at. I was then told that her "Friend" worked for himself at home. This was how the whole week went every time I asked a question, either I wasn't answered or I would be given vague answers until I asked and asked and asked for more info. So I called the boarding facility Kelli said she left my pet at and was told my dog was boarded there TWICE. So another lie from Kelli. Ended up my dog was boarded half the time she stayed with Kelli! And the person at the boarders looked at the cut the first time Kelli boarded her, NOT a vet! ANDDD the cut was already there when Kelli brought my dog in so she didn't even take my dog to anyone right away! I took my dog to the vet after picking her up and was told it looked like a dog bite puncture wound on her head and it could have needed sutures. This was the most horrific experience with a host! Most ppl hire hosts on dogvacay b/c they DONT want to board them and put them in a cage the whole time and this is just what Kelli did, and worse, my poor dog was brought to a boarder by a stranger, making it even more stressful for her. And lie after lie after lie. I'm not even sure what happened with my cat, I left specific instructions including that the cat and the dog usually sleep next to each other and I'm sure it would be comforting since they are in a strange home. Well that obviously didn't happen! For all I know Kellie locked my poor cat in a room the whole time with no attention. I would NEVER trust this person with my animals, never. I can't believe she's still allowed to be a host after notifying dogvacay of all of this!
Kelli was very professional and easy to work with during our vacation. She was cautious when introducing our Beagle, Grover, to her dog, and watched to see how they would interact with each other before making the decision to board him. Grover seemed to have a good time at her house, playing with her dog, and going to the dog park which is near by.
Kelli sent a couple of videos to us while we were away, to reassure us that Grover was doing fine and having fun. He seemed happy and well cared for when we returned, so we would recommend her services.
I believe Sax had a wonderful time. Kelli was great with responding to my daily texts and sending pictures and videos of Sax playing in the park. I will certainly utilize Kellie's services again.
Rufus had a great time with Kelli and Diesel. She took him on walks all of the time including a field trip to a park a few hours away. She took her time and made sure that both dogs were comfortable with each other and not aggressive before allowing them to interact with each other.

I would highly recommend Kelli to any dog owner who is nervous about leaving their dog with a stranger or a kennel.
Excellent experience! Kelli was very informative and took extra care as to listen and observe our lil' dogs during our meet and great and the introduction of her dog as well. She was wonderful with Chewy & Max, our Pomeranians! I was worried as they are very yappy and always on caution mode ;)… But They seemed to get attached to her pretty fast;). And got along with her dog Diesel too.

We left for the holiday feeling that our lil’ Poms were in good hands. I was even impressed as she kept us posted on our Poms (sending text and mini text videos of them), which gave us peace of mind while we were away. I was impressed with the compassion and professional services she provided. She went the extra mile to take the Poms to the dog park, so they could run freely with other dogs their sizes (fenced dog park ), ensuring they had a good time as well. She does more than watch your pets, she shows she cares and goes beyond to give outstanding pet sitting services. We will definitely use her services again and I highly recommend Kelli!
