About Liz

22 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
Long term stays and last minute stays welcome !I offer pet-sitting at my home or yours. I prefer pet-sitting in my home, because this way they are always with me. I hate leaving them alone, especially senior dogs, or dogs with medical conditions. It makes me feel more secure in the care I provide to the pet. I work at the largest Emergency Veterinary Hospital in the metro on the weekends and have worked there for 3 years. I have been working in the veterinary field for 8+ years. I have 2 dogs and 2 god-dogs. My 2 boys are my kids, and that's how I treat all pets. I love dogs of all shapes and sizes, and could play with them 24/7! While at my home, they are offered free roam of the house, unless other directions are given by the pet owner. Pets are allowed on the furniture and allowed to sleep in the bed, unless other directions are given by the pet owner. There are stairs in the home, however not needed to access outside or living areas. Monday through Friday I am basically home all day with the dogs, except when I am at school .Saturday and Sunday I work 8-3, but have a web cam to keep an eye on everyone. I have a huge yard to run around and play with the dogs, and tons of activities to do inside as well. The neighborhood is friendly and fun to walk aroundin as well. I also like working on tricks or commands to keep there minds stimulated as well.

Liz takes great care of our dog when we are travelling. We will definitely use her again.
Liz was very flexible with me regarding drop off time and pickup. Harley was well taken care of and Liz provided me with pictures regularly to keep me updated. I will be utilizing her again in the future!
Leaving our 3 Papillons with Liz for our month vacation was totally stress free. She is a pleasure to work with and loved our fur babies like they were her own. We loved all the pictures and videos she sent of them lounging on her bed, sofa and playing outside. They even snuggled up to her sweet boxer and Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. She taught Julius to play catch with a tennis ball ... who knew? She is phenomenal with dogs, you can tell she really loves them. She is also one of few who will accommodate all 3 of our pups. Our daughter picked them up for our final week away and after meeting Liz only once told us she thought she was super nice and had given them a bath and washed their blankets. Now that's some mighty fine additional perks! We will be booking with Liz for all of our future vacations.

Liz watched our 3 Papillons for the weekend before we take off for a month long trip. She was so great with them! When we boarded them, even though we thought it was a great place, they came home shell shocked. After the weekend with Liz they came back totally relaxed and happy. We have no worries about leaving them with Liz for our long trip. Can not say enough good things about her ... a real jewel!

My greyhound got to stay with Liz and her pups and other puppy guests for 3 days. Although my pup had a loose bladder, Liz made my boy feel welcomed and loved every day. He had a greyt time and slept very well every night.
Our 6 month old shih tzu, Stella has never been away from us, nor have we done a good job of socializing her with other dogs, so we booked her with Liz for a one-night stay in preparation for Stella's upcoming 10 day stay with Liz in a couple months. I think the separation might have been worse on us than it was on her. :-) She did really well and Liz took fabulous care of her. By the end of her 24 hours, she was even warming up to Bruno, Liz's boxer. Both Liz's dogs are absolute sweethearts, btw. I'm planning to book another night or two for our sweet girl with Liz before her 10 day stay. I'm very thankful for this wonderful alternative to traditional boarding and am glad to know that while we are away, Stella will be in Liz's loving care.

We were in KC for the weekend, celebrating my husbands bday. We contacted Liz, kinda last minute. Cheerio and chili said they had a good time! We were able to enjoy a night out without worries! Thanks Liz ??
Liz was phenomenal with Rico. She has a large home and fun puppy who is also very friendly and loving. She kept constant updates with me during my absence with photos and videos. I will definitely come backto her if I need another puppy sitter.
We needed a last minute appointment for our pups and Liz was awesome! She did a wonderful job with our little "Barker Brothers" and their sister Jaz. She is absolutely great with dogs and quickly understood what their needs, likes and dislikes were. We will be using her frequently in the next month and a half and are confident she will treat them like one of her own! Couldn't be happier ... highly recommend!

Liz was wonderful. She made our dogs feel right at home and sent great pictures to keep us updated on how they were doing.
Liz was fantastic. She went above and beyond to make sure my kids were happy and had fun. She made it easy for us to go on vacation because I knew they would be well taken care of and loved.
My dog was still receiving medication for a UTI and Liz was more than willing to still accept him and give meds. He also gets extremely excited during thunderstorms. Unfortunately there were several while he stayed with Liz. She put on the thunder shirt I had sent (which I feel really doesn't seem to help much) and tried different things to calm him. He came back to me a very happy dog!

Liz was as awesome as all the other reviews prior to us. We loved the daily photo, she was most flexible on pickup/dropoff times, our dog had playmates, she washed his dog bed, quick responses, zero negatives. We certainly will be a repeat guest.
Liz was great with our two dogs. The dogs enjoyed their time with her and she took great care of them. We definitely will have Liz watch them again in the future and had no worries on our vacation thanks to her!!
Liz did an awesome job taking care of our dog. She was flexible with our last minute booking and allowed us to pick him up and drop him off at the time that was convenient for us. Our dog had a great time playing with her dogs, and she sent us pictures to keep us updated about how he was doing. We would certainly use Liz again!

We had just moved into the area and needed a place for our dog to stay until we got keys to our house. Liz was amazing with our dog and definitely made it an easier to leave our pup. She was easy to get ahold of and sent us pictures! Will definitely be using again!

We are so happy that we found Liz to care for our brand new puppy Lexie (4 months old, we had only had her for 2 weeks) while we went on our own vacation!

From our first meeting it was obvious that Liz absolutely loves dogs, and that her "permanent resident" dogs also love other dogs. She allayed the fears that we had of leaving our brand-new, not-yet-trained, puppy behind.

Liz sent us daily (usually at least twice a day) pictures, and it was clear that Lexie was having a blast (and later completely tuckered out from all the fun)!

When we picked her up, Lexie was freshly bathed and Liz had clipped her nails, which was a very nice unexpected surprise. She even gave us some pointers on nail trimming for the future.

Bottom line, awesome doggie vacay for Lexie. It's great to know we will have one less thing to worry about whenever we decide to leave town and can't take the puppy with us. We will definitely be using Liz again and again!

Liz was so great to accommodate our last minute booking for our 2 dogs. I could tell by the pics she sent that both dogs were happy and safe! Liz allowed us to vacation in peace without worrying about our sweet fur babies! Liz also washed our dog's crate blanket so it was fresh and clean when we brought it home! She also trimmed theirntoe nails which they so deserately needed. She went above and beyond! We will definitely use her again if she'll have us!

I can't recommend Liz enough!! She was an absolutely amazing sitter and we felt totally comfortable leaving our boy with her for over a week.

From initially meeting Liz you could tell that she is a pet lover and extremely personable and caring person. She went out of her way to learn as much about our dog and his needs to ensure he'd have a great stay with her.

Throughout the stay she was extremely attentive to us sending lots of pics and responding very quickly to any questions.

Upon bringing Hank back home he had never seemed to be in such a good mood after being away from home for such an extended period of time. I can tell he very much enjoyed his time with Liz!

We will definitely be using her again in the future!!!

She was great!
Liz was awesome! She's a dog loving all star, and it shows. She is so sweet, and was even willing to host our feisty Kitty for the time we were away too. She went above and beyond with her care of our dog. We returned home to a very happy pup, who'd had a bath, and even indulged in dog birthday cake for his temporary roommates doggie birthday. What a treat! Bandit definitely misses Liz, he's looking forward to his next vacation! Highly recommend and we'll definitely be repeat customers.

Liz is AMAZING! She made arrangements to take my boy at the last minute, and he had a great stay. Esau is a 6mo old Australian Cattle Dog (Red Heeler), which is not an easy breed. Extremely dominant, mouthy, defiant, and usually only take commands from one human. Esau doesn't take kindly to strangers. Liz is now one of Esau's favorite humans. She made proper adjustments, kept him occupied, and spent an overwhelming amount of time with him. My wife and I both noticed that E was actually calmer & a little better behaved when he got home from his stay with Liz.
I won't hesitate when I say; If you're looking for a happy, safe, loving environment for your dog while you're away-Liz is your host.

My wife and I needed a dog sitter for the day when we went to the lake on the 4th of July, so we contacted Liz through dogvacay. We couldn't have been happier with our experience! Liz was very quick to respond and extremely professional. I know it may be hard to leave your pup with a stranger but we guarantee Liz will take great care of and treat your pet like her own. Our puppy, Winston, had so much fun and returned happy and worn out from all the great play time!

Liz is AMAZING! This was our first time using Dog Vacay (our dog had never even stayed overnight at a kennel) so I was a little worried about her staying overnight.
Liz has super friendly dogs of her own and they welcomed our Chocolate Lab, Dutchess, right into their home. Liz has many years of dog sitting under her belt and her experience with the Veterinary ER is also a great bonus. She was also accommodating about drop off and pick up times.
The photos she sent were so great- happy play times, doggy snuggle times, group photos... Needless to say, Dutchy came home happy and tuckered out from playing... I think she would have happily stayed for weeks!
Liz made everything so easy. I would recommend her to anyone and we will absolutely use her again when we need a sitter!
