Love dogs with Personal Attention
My love of dogs is a lifetime thing, from being a little girl through parenting. I was always surrounded with dogs that loved me & our family and that we all loved back. It was something very special. Dogs are very special.
Our last dog passed on just before I decided to become a Pet-Sitter. Something I am so very happy I am doing. Having so many dogs that are my "special friends that I love" is really fun for me & my husband. We love having them visit, we love playing with them, we just have a really good time with our guests.
The secret to being a great pet-sitter is to know your pet. Our objective is for our guests/pooches to feel like this is almost as good as home. Our mission is for them to get all their needs fulfilled, other than the owners aren't there. So I review with the owners, prior to the dogs stay, a very thorough list of items that cover every need the dog could possibly have from eating habits, toilet habits, exercise routines, play time, sleeping, day time, evening time, outdoor habits, treats, playmates, special care, meds, everything related to the dogs history and the dogs likes and sometimes fears.
The second secret to being a great pet-sitter is to be vigilant. My husband and I are always with our guests. We find that most of our guests want to be with us, so they sit at our feet when we are on the computer, they sit on our laps or at our sides or behind our heads when we watch TV. We also walk together, go to the park together, play in the backyard together so we are always aware of them and how they are doing.
We have guests overnight and guests for more than a month. We are very convenient to the airport so many of our guests are families that are here in Arizona for just a day or two. We love them all. We are grateful we have so many dogs to love.
