Hey ya'll! My name is Fallon Smiley I am a dog mom of two. I have a senior dog who is 11 years old and a new puppy who is almost one year old. I pet sit often for family and friends but would love to expand and help out other dog parents. I am currently unable to watch dogs at my place right now due to I do not have the space for any other animals. However I would love to watch the pets at their home due to them being more comfortable there to begin with. I feel like this is very important for them because of them being in their "safe haven".

A typical day looks like for dogs is to be fed when owners say to be fed, will take on a walk in morning and/or afternoon. Play time in the back yard or at dog park and then rest time when the dog wants to relax. Will do some treats as well for good behavior and listening to commands the owners have taught. (will not be over treated unless asked to)

My service is great I have watched dogs for three years now and have always enjoyed doing it. I have also been a dog owner to my oldest fur baby since she was 6 months old. She was my very first major responsibility growing up and still is.

Along with DogVacay I do have a full time job Mon-Fri from 8 am-5 pm. If you are needing someone during the week I would love to watch the animals as well while you are gone. I am able to leave for a lunch break for an hour where I can go back to the house and let the dogs out for a potty break and if kennel a time to run around for a little bit till I get off from work and can go back for the night. Weekends I am completely free to be at the house all day with the fur babies and do what ever I need to to make them happy.

Hello! My name is Tara, and I'm a Sophomore student at Texas Tech studying Political Science. My schedule is very flexible because of my online classes, and I spend a lot of time at home because of our dog. I don't remember a time in my life not being surrounded by animals. From training my husky agility tricks to competitive horseback riding in my later years, animals have always played a big role. I have cared for animals such as small dogs (Dachshund), large dogs (Siberian Husky), birds (Cockatiel), and horses. When I first began petsitting around 13, I considered it as more of a hobby and not a job at all. I routinely petsitted for many families in my neighborhood and developed a routine for each family based on their particular needs whether it be dog walking, petsitting, or housesitting. I typically visited each household at least three times daily, providing walks each day. My Red Cross First Aid and Bloodborne Pathogens training is up to date due to previous lifeguarding jobs. I do have past experience taking care of senior aged dogs. Although she didn't look a day over 7, my Dachshund Gina lived a long 13 years. I live in a townhouse close to the Texas Tech University campus. My three other roommates are also dog lovers. We own a terrier mix together named Leo, and we consider him our fifth roommate. Since we do not have a backyard, there are many great parks in Lubbock that Leo loves to explore! Hey there, I'm Ale - a student, a dog lover, and excited to meet your dog! I've always loved animals, asking for veterinary textbooks as a kid so I could understand them better. I'm currently learning and employing positive training and clicker training with my own dogs. I've had dogs my entire life and am currently raising and training my Anatolian Shepherd puppy named Siena. My other dogs, Meeko and Champ - a border collie mix and chihuahua mix, respectively - are a bit older and enjoy cuddling, roaming our huge backyard, and taking naps in the sun. I have experiences with all age ranges and would love to help out with training if possible.

The expansive backyard is completely fenced with a 7ft high, brand new fence and is divided between a large open area and a smaller corraled area that could potentially be used for smaller dog play, rest, and roam time. There are two large parks nearby - Atzlan and Guadalupe - and a couple of trails our dogs love walking and exploring daily. As it gets hotter, our dogs have access to indoor air conditioner, shaded areas on the patio, and two different outdoor dog houses.

Dog parents will have to provide specific food, shampoos, medicines, and crates (if needed, I only have a small extra one). I know it can be hard to leave your pet for any amount of time, but I am dedicated to making sure they have plenty of fun and TLC in a happy, safe environment while keeping you updated regularly on their adventures.

Hi! My name is Erin Freeman and I am currently a student at Texas Tech University. I have been a pet owner and lover my entire life. I have experiences with any breed of dog or cat you could think of. Before moving out to Lubbock for college, I was a professional caretaker for dogs at a small business in Dallas called Kimberly's K9 Fitness Center and Spa. Since I now live in a dorm and am unable to have a dog of my own, I have a passion for taking care of your furry family! I am able to exercise your dog(s) for up to an hour at a time whether by walking, jogging, playing fetch, etc. I am more than willing to check-in or dog sit in your own home whether during the day or overnight. Although I wish that I could watch your pets in my own home, my landlord recently discovered that I was watching my friend's dog and forced me/the owner to find another option.

**About my neighborhood**
I live in Tech Terrace but am willing to travel all around Lubbock to accommodate you and your pets needs. If you require multiple check-ins a day, it is more desirable that you live near Tech Terrace to eliminate the excessive drive time.

**What to expect**
I absolutely adore animals, so of course there will be lots of cuddles and attention. I am able to: take your pet on long walks or jogs, take your pet to parks, arrange a doggy play date (if you and your pet are comfortable with it).

I love any and all dog breeds and sizes. I just ask that you communicate any special personality traits or tendencies, so that I can adjust my services to best suite your pet.

From all of my fur family, I can recount all of the exciting and learning experiences I've had caring for and being cared by my pets. I've had a 70lb pit bull who thought herself a lapdog and would guard the front door. I've had a quiet German Shepherd, who was independent and expressive. She handled being a senior dog very well. I raised a beagle from puppyhood. My home went from a single, to double, to triple dog house. I've dog sat two Canary Mastiffs for a month. I currently have two cats, both are quirky and have had medical issues right out of the gate, but they are comforting presences in my home.

**About me**
Hi! I'm a Texas Tech student, living with my grandma in Lubbock. I've had an array of pets in my house since I was little- small mutts, a doberman, fish, parakeets, turtles, chinchillas. I have helped family, friends, and neighbors with watching their pets, to include all of the above and goats. I think the most interesting/exciting thing that I have experienced is my cousin's chihuahua giving birth while they were away for the weekend. I love animals and I see them as members of the family. I hope to have more of my own pets again once I have my own property, but until then I would love to interact and care for other's animals.

I share a one story home with my grandma in a neighborhood west of Texas Tech, and unfortunately I am unable to offer housing for furry/scaly/feathered guests until I have my own home. I am happy to care for your pet(s) in any way I am capable. If there is a skill missing from my profile please ask about it and we can discuss it! When visiting someone's home as a Sitter, I like to leave it as clean or cleaner than when I got there. I know animals make messes and I would certainly clean up after them. While I am with your pet(s) they are my main focus, I will watch them and observe any change in behavior or appearance they have so that I can make sure they are happy and healthy. Extra services and prices can be discussed on a case-to-case basis.

**About my neighborhood**
There is a small park in my neighborhood, I am at least a block away in all directions from big streets (e.g. Slide Rd). For walks I like to find side walks or grass when possible. I avoid big streets, and am cautious when crossing or bordering streets, especially when I have animals with me. My neighborhood is a pet-friendly area, but all animals are kept on leashes.

**What to expect**
When I am with an animal I will typically talk to them, and my immediate desire is to pet them and see them happy. I like taking dogs on walks, usually at a moderate pace (2-3mph). I can do jogs for maybe 2 miles or so, but I would be happy to bike alongside your dog further than 2 miles if that is something they are accustomed to. I can play fetch and tug of war, I just like to engage a dog in play and make sure they are happy. I am also happy to sit and cuddle with dogs. I like to pet dogs and I like long haired or furry dogs, even if they do shed! Hair and drool are occupational hazards and wash out easily, so that's okay with me. Along the lines of hair, I'd be happy to brush your dog/pet. I care for animals as if they were my own because I love them all.

**Special rules or requests**
I am pretty much comfortable with any animal once I meet them. I have an SUV so I can fit most pet carriers into my car. If you have caged snakes I am comfortable being in the same house/room as them, but I do not have experience caring for them- so if you require my services for animals in your household other than your snake I can do that. I would prefer to meet you and your pet(s) prior to caring for them as this improves the experience for the pet(s) and I can come better prepared for their needs.
